Rovato Vertovese SSD 1-1 Scanzorosciate

Rovato Vertovese SSD and Scanzorosciate shared the points after a hard-fought 1-1 draw in Serie D on 18 October 2026. Both sides had spells of control in an evenly matched contest, and the final scoreline reflected a game in which chances were limited but the stakes were clear.

Match overview

Rovato Vertovese SSD started with energy and looked to impose themselves through quick passing in wide areas. Their breakthrough came after a period of sustained possession, when a cross from the left was met with a determined run into the box and converted from close range. Scanzorosciate responded well, gradually settling into the match and finding space between the home side’s midfield and defence.

The equaliser arrived before the break, rewarding Scanzorosciate for their improved control. A neat exchange on the edge of the area opened up a shooting lane, and the finish was kept low and accurate. The second half was more cautious, with both teams wary of conceding again, and neither goalkeeper was seriously tested in the final stages.

Key moments

• Opening goal: Rovato Vertovese SSD took the lead after a purposeful move down the left and a close-range finish.
• Equaliser: Scanzorosciate levelled with a well-worked passing sequence and a low strike from the edge of the box.
• Second half: Both sides tightened up defensively, reducing space in midfield and limiting clear chances.
• Late save: A stoppage-time effort from Rovato Vertovese SSD was gathered comfortably as Scanzorosciate held on for the draw.

Tactical story

Rovato Vertovese SSD’s approach relied on width and early crosses, while Scanzorosciate favoured shorter combinations through the middle. The visitors’ ability to hold possession in central areas helped them recover from a difficult opening spell, and their midfield rotation created the space needed for the equaliser. After half-time, both teams defended with greater discipline, and the game became a battle for second balls rather than a series of clear-cut chances.

Rovato Vertovese SSD pushed their full-backs forward more aggressively late on, but Scanzorosciate’s back four held its shape well. The draw was a fair reflection of a match in which neither side did enough to claim all three points.

Standout performers

Scanzorosciate’s central midfielder was influential in possession, repeatedly finding pockets of space and linking attacks. Rovato Vertovese SSD’s winger caused problems in the first half with direct running and delivered the cross that led to the opening goal. Both centre-back pairings deserve credit for their composure in a tense second period.

Season impact

The point keeps both teams in the thick of the Serie D table, though each will feel a win was within reach. Rovato Vertovese SSD will be pleased with their first-half display but disappointed not to protect the lead, while Scanzorosciate can take encouragement from a resilient away performance. In a division where consistency matters, this was a useful but incomplete result for both sides.
