Pro Sesto 1–1 Solbiatese Arno: Spoils shared at the Breda

Pro Sesto and Solbiatese Arno played out a 1–1 draw at the Stadio Breda on Sunday 11 October 2026, a result that left both sides with a sense of a point gained and two dropped. In a 21:00 kick-off in Sesto San Giovanni, the hosts led for much of the second half before Solbiatese struck back to earn a share of the Serie D spoils.

The draw keeps Pro Sesto in the chasing pack in Girone B, while Solbiatese Arno continued their steady accumulation of points with another competitive away display.

Match overview

It was a game of two distinct halves of momentum. Pro Sesto started the brighter, pressing high and forcing turnovers in the Solbiatese half, and their reward arrived after the interval when they finally found a way through a stubborn defensive line. From that point the match changed character entirely, with the visitors pushing more bodies forward and the home side dropping deeper to protect their advantage.

Solbiatese's persistence paid off. Their equaliser came from exactly the kind of passage they had been building towards — a sustained spell of pressure, a ball into the box, and a finish from close range that silenced the home support.

Key moments

• 19th minute: Pro Sesto's first clear chance, a header from a corner that dropped just over the crossbar.
• 34th minute: Solbiatese's goalkeeper denied a low drive at the near post with a strong left hand.
• 52nd minute: Pro Sesto took the lead, finishing off a flowing move down the right with a composed strike inside the penalty area.
• 70th minute: Solbiatese rattled the woodwork with a dipping effort from distance as the visitors raised the tempo.
• 81st minute: The equaliser, bundled home from close range after a scramble following a deep cross.

Tactical story

Pro Sesto's approach was built on winning the ball back quickly and attacking before Solbiatese could reset. It worked well for the first hour, when their midfield pressed aggressively and their wide players pinned the visiting full-backs back. The goal was a fair reflection of that period of control.

The tactical shift came from the bench. Solbiatese introduced fresh legs in wide areas and moved to a more direct style, targeting the space behind Pro Sesto's advanced full-backs. Once the home side began to sit on their lead, the game became a question of whether the visitors could deliver enough quality into the box. In the end, they could — and Pro Sesto will feel they invited unnecessary pressure by retreating too far in the final 15 minutes.

Standout performers

Pro Sesto's goalscorer was their most threatening outlet all evening, combining well with the midfield runners and repeatedly finding pockets of space between the lines. In defence, their captain was vocal and organised through the closing stages as Solbiatese threw numbers forward.

Solbiatese's substitutes changed the match, adding width and urgency at a moment when the game looked to be slipping away. Their goalkeeper also deserves credit for keeping the deficit to a single goal with two important stops before the equaliser arrived.

What the result means

The point leaves Pro Sesto on 12 from eight matches, a respectable return but one that includes a few draws that could yet prove costly in a congested promotion race. Solbiatese Arno sit just behind them, and their ability to take points on the road will be a significant asset over the winter months.

Both teams will look at the fixture list ahead as an opportunity to build a run of form. For Pro Sesto, the lesson is clear: controlling a match is not the same as closing it out.
