Pro Patria started the brighter and carved out several early opportunities, but they could not find a way past Solbiatese goalkeeper Andrea Colombo. The visitors grew in confidence as the game wore on and snatched the winner in the 72nd minute through a clinical counter-attack. Pro Patria threw everything forward in the closing stages, but Solbiatese's defence held firm for a valuable away win.

Key Moments

The first half was dominated by Pro Patria, who hit the post through striker Riccardo Colombo and forced two smart saves from the Solbiatese goalkeeper. The breakthrough came against the run of play in the 72nd minute when Solbiatese's Marco Villa intercepted a loose pass and raced clear, finishing coolly past the Pro Patria goalkeeper. Pro Patria nearly equalised in the 89th minute, but a goal-line clearance from Solbiatese defender Luca Bianchi denied them a point.

Tactical Story

Pro Patria set up in a 4-2-3-1, looking to dominate through central overloads and quick combinations. However, Solbiatese defended in a deep 5-4-1 block, allowing Pro Patria to have the ball in wide areas but crowding the box. The visitors were happy to soak up pressure and hit on the break, and their game plan worked perfectly as Pro Patria's frustration grew. The home side's inability to convert possession into clear-cut chances proved decisive.

Standout Players

Solbiatese Arno goalkeeper Andrea Colombo was the Man of the Match, making five saves, including a stunning one-on-one stop in the first half. Marco Villa was the match-winner with his composed finish, while defender Luca Bianchi produced a heroic goal-line clearance. For Pro Patria, Riccardo Colombo was lively up front but lacked support, and midfielder Alessandro Ferrari worked tirelessly without reward.

Serie D Standings and Season Impact

The win is a massive boost for Solbiatese Arno, lifting them away from the relegation places and giving them belief for the battles ahead. Pro Patria missed the chance to climb into the promotion playoff spots and will be left to rue their profligacy. The head-to-head record between these two has now swung in Solbiatese's favour, and Pro Patria will need to find their scoring touch quickly if they are to challenge at the top.
