Tactical story

In the second half, Palmese pushed for the winner and left gaps, which Aversa punished for the decisive goal. It was a classic example of a match won by clinical counter-attacking.

For Palmese, Ciro Marino’s equaliser was a moment of quality, and Antonio Esposito’s early header showed his aerial strength. However, defensive lapses ultimately cost the home side.

Table and season impact

Real Agro Aversa’s win gives them a major confidence boost and moves them up the Serie D table, while Palmese 1914 are left to reflect on a painful home defeat. The result highlights the importance of defensive discipline, even for teams with strong attacking players. Aversa will look to build on this momentum, while Palmese must tighten up at the back to avoid more high-scoring losses.
