Oltrepo 1-2 Lentigione — Lentigione came from behind to win 2-1 at Oltrepo on Sunday evening, turning a difficult away fixture into three valuable Serie D points with a composed second-half comeback.

Match Overview

Oltrepo started brightly and deserved their lead, pressing aggressively and getting runners beyond the Lentigione midfield. But the visitors weathered the storm, adjusted their shape at the interval and gradually took control of the contest. Two goals in the space of twenty second-half minutes completed the turnaround and left the home crowd frustrated at a game that slipped away.

Key Moments

• 22' — Oltrepo take the lead: A well-worked move down the left ended with a cut-back that was swept home from twelve yards.
• 36' — Lentigione respond: Their striker rounded the goalkeeper but saw his effort cleared off the line by a recovering defender.
• 55' — The equaliser: Lentigione levelled with a header from a deep cross, rising highest at the back post.
• 74' — The winner: A slick one-two on the edge of the box opened up a shooting lane, and the finish was placed precisely inside the far post.
• 88' — Oltrepo push: Oltrepo threw everyone forward and forced two late corners, but Lentigione's defence held firm.

Tactical Story

Oltrepo's high press worked superbly for half an hour, forcing turnovers and creating the opening goal. The issue was sustainability: as the tempo dropped, their midfield line became disconnected from the defence, and Lentigione's patient possession game started to find pockets of space between the lines.

Lentigione's coach made the key intervention of the match at half-time, introducing an extra central midfielder to overload the middle of the pitch. From that point on, the visitors controlled the rhythm of the game, switching play from side to side and repeatedly isolating Oltrepo's full-backs in one-on-one situations. The winning goal was the natural product of that sustained pressure.

Standout Players

Lentigione's second-half substitute changed the game, providing energy in midfield and the assist for the equaliser. The goalscorer of the winner showed excellent technique under pressure, while the visiting goalkeeper made a crucial save at 1-1 to keep his side level. For Oltrepo, the left winger was a constant threat in the first half and created the opening goal with a driving run.

Serie D Table Impact

A comeback away win of this nature does wonders for a squad's confidence and gives Lentigione valuable momentum as the Serie D season settles into its rhythm. Oltrepo remain a competitive side with plenty of attacking intent, but conceding twice after taking the lead is the kind of habit that costs clubs points over a full campaign. Tightening up in the final twenty minutes will be the theme of their training week.
