Tactical story

Manfredonia’s victory was built on balance. They were patient in possession, but they also attacked with purpose when space opened up. Their midfield protected the back four well, limiting Ischia’s ability to play through the center. The wide defenders supported the attack without leaving too much room behind, and the front players worked hard to close down passing lanes.

Ischia Isolaverde found it difficult to sustain pressure. Their best moments came from direct running and crosses into the box, but Manfredonia’s center-backs were dominant in the air. As the game wore on, Ischia’s frustration grew, and Manfredonia’s second goal arrived at the perfect moment to kill any hopes of a comeback.

Standout performers

Antonio Russo and Marco Esposito were the goalscoring heroes for Manfredonia, each taking their chance with confidence. The midfield screen in front of the defense was equally important, repeatedly breaking up Ischia’s attacks and starting counterattacks. For Ischia Isolaverde, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the scoreline respectable, but the visitors lacked a cutting edge in the final third.

Serie D impact

The three points strengthen Manfredonia’s position in the Serie D standings and underline their ability to win matches without conceding. Ischia Isolaverde will need to find more creativity in attack after a frustrating evening. Manfredonia’s clean sheet and clinical finishing made this a complete home performance.
