A.S.D. Bra secured a 2-1 away victory over Ligorna in Italian Serie D on October 18, 2026, using a disciplined second-half display to protect a narrow lead and claim all three points. The match was closely contested, but Bra’s sharper finishing and better game management proved decisive.

Match overview

Bra started confidently and took the lead in the 18th minute when a quick exchange on the edge of the box opened space for a low shot into the bottom corner. Ligorna responded well and equalised before half-time, capitalising on a defensive hesitation to finish from close range. The home side briefly looked the more likely team to take control, but Bra regained their composure after the interval.

The winning goal arrived in the 64th minute. Bra won the ball in midfield, moved it wide quickly, and delivered a cross that was converted with a first-time finish at the near post. Ligorna pushed for an equaliser in the final 15 minutes, but Bra’s defence held firm, blocking several shots and dealing comfortably with late crosses into the box.

Key moments

• 42′ – Equaliser: Ligorna punished a defensive hesitation and scored from close range.
• 64′ – Goal: Bra’s quick wide move ended with a first-time finish at the near post.

Tactical story

Bra’s 4-3-3 shape gave them good control in wide areas, and their midfield trio worked hard to close the space between the lines. Their opening goal came from patient build-up, but their winner was a product of quick transition play. Once ahead, Bra dropped their wingers slightly deeper and defended in a compact block, forcing Ligorna to attack through crowded wide areas.

Ligorna’s equaliser showed their ability to capitalise on mistakes, but they struggled to create sustained pressure after the break. Their best moments came from set pieces and second balls, yet Bra’s central defenders remained strong in the air. The home side’s late urgency produced volume of possession but not enough clear chances.

Standout performers

Bra’s central midfielder was the standout player, combining energy with intelligent positioning and linking defence to attack. The right-sided attacker also caused problems throughout, delivering the cross for the winning goal. For Ligorna, the striker who scored the equaliser worked tirelessly and held the ball up well, but he received limited service in the final half-hour.

Table impact and what next

The 2-1 victory adds three valuable points to A.S.D. Bra’s tally in the Italian Serie D standings and gives them momentum for the next round of fixtures. Ligorna will be frustrated to lose at home after fighting back into the game, and will need to improve their final-third creativity in upcoming matches. Both teams now turn their attention to the next league weekend, with Bra looking to build on a solid away performance and Ligorna aiming to turn spells of pressure into goals.
