Ischia Isolaverde drew 1-1 with ASD Martina Franca in Italian Serie D on October 25, 2026, as the two sides produced a balanced contest that remained in the balance until the final whistle. Martina Franca took the lead, but Ischia responded to earn a point in front of their home supporters.

Match overview

The match at Stadio Enzo Mazzella began at 21:30 and quickly settled into a tactical rhythm. Ischia Isolaverde looked to play through midfield and use the width of the pitch, while ASD Martina Franca defended in a compact block and looked for opportunities to strike on the counterattack. The visitors’ organization made life difficult for the hosts in the opening half.

After the break, the game opened up and both teams found spells of pressure. Ischia’s equalizer ensured the home crowd stayed involved until the end, while Martina Franca will feel they did enough defensively to deserve a share of the spoils.

Tactical story

Ischia Isolaverde controlled more possession but found it difficult to break down Martina Franca’s deep defensive lines in the first half. The visitors were happy to concede territory and attack through quick transitions, a plan that paid off with the opening goal. After conceding, Ischia increased their pressing intensity and began to win more second balls in midfield.

The equalizer changed the momentum, and Ischia looked the more likely side to find a winner in the final quarter of an hour. Martina Franca, however, managed the game well, slowing the tempo when needed and defending their penalty area with numbers. The draw was a fair reflection of a contest in which both teams had spells of control.

Standout performers

Ischia’s wide players were influential in the second half, repeatedly stretching the Martina defensive block and delivering dangerous balls into the box. Martina Franca’s goalkeeper produced several important saves, while their midfield anchor worked tirelessly to disrupt Ischia’s rhythm. The visitors’ forward was also a constant threat on the counter.

Serie D table impact

Both teams add a point to their Serie D tally, with Ischia Isolaverde showing character to come from behind at home and Martina Franca demonstrating their defensive resilience away from home. In a division where consistency is often the difference between the playoff places and mid-table, this was a useful result for both camps, even if each will believe a victory was within reach.
