GSD Lascaris and ASD Imperia played out a 1-1 draw in Italian Serie D on Sunday, October 4, 2026, with both teams taking a point from a tightly contested encounter. The match, which kicked off at 21:00 local time, reflected the competitive nature of the division, where margins are often decided by a single moment of quality or a defensive lapse.

Match Overview

Lascaris started the game with purpose, looking to use the home support to dictate the tempo. Imperia, however, were well organised and dangerous on the counter. The visitors drew first blood midway through the first half, capitalising on a quick transition and finishing calmly past the goalkeeper. The goal stunned the home side, but it also sparked a reaction.

After the interval, Lascaris pushed more players forward and found an equaliser. A well-worked move down the right flank ended with a low cross into the box, and the Lascaris forward made no mistake from close range. From there, both teams had chances to win it, but resolute defending and some sharp goalkeeping kept the score level.

Key Moments

• First half: Imperia took the lead with a swift counter-attacking goal, silencing the home crowd.
• Second half: Lascaris equalised after sustained pressure, converting a cross from the right.
• Late drama: Both sides had half-chances in the final 15 minutes, but neither could find a winner.

Tactical Story

Lascaris lined up with a 4-3-3 and tried to overload the flanks, while Imperia sat deeper in a 4-4-2 and looked to spring forward. The home side dominated possession, but Imperia's compact shape made it difficult to find clear openings. The equaliser came when Lascaris finally managed to get behind the defensive line. Imperia will feel they could have held on, while Lascaris will be frustrated they could not turn dominance into three points.

Standout Players

The Lascaris winger was a constant threat in the second half, while the Imperia goalkeeper made two important saves to preserve the draw. In midfield, both captains set the tone with disciplined performances, breaking up play and keeping their teams organised.

Table Impact

The draw leaves both teams with a point as they continue their Serie D campaigns. For Lascaris, it is a reminder that they must be more clinical in front of goal. For Imperia, the result is a solid away point against a direct rival. The Serie D standings remain tight, and every point will matter as the season progresses.
