ASD Licata claimed a convincing 3-0 away win over Enna in Italian Serie D on September 27, 2026, delivering a composed and clinical performance in the Sicilian derby. Licata scored twice before halftime and added a third after the break to secure all three points.

Match Overview

Enna began the match with intent, looking to use home advantage and push forward through the flanks. But ASD Licata were well prepared, defending with discipline and striking with precision. The visitors took the lead midway through the first half and never looked like surrendering control.

A second goal just before halftime gave Licata a comfortable cushion. Enna tried to respond in the second half, making changes to increase their attacking threat, but Licata’s defensive structure held firm. The third goal killed off any hope of a comeback and confirmed a deserved victory for the away side.

Key Moments

• 21’ – Enna 0-1 ASD Licata: Giacomo Russo opened the scoring with a powerful header from a corner.
• 44’ – Enna 0-2 ASD Licata: Salvatore Esposito doubled the lead with a clever finish after a quick exchange on the edge of the box.
• 67’ – Enna 0-3 ASD Licata: Marco Vitale sealed the win with a low strike from outside the area that found the bottom corner.

Tactical Story

ASD Licata set up with a solid 4-3-3 and focused on winning the midfield battle. Their pressing was intelligent rather than reckless, forcing Enna into sideways passes and hopeful crosses. The visitors’ set-piece threat was evident throughout, and the opening goal came from exactly that source.

Enna struggled to break down Licata’s low block. Their midfielders dropped deep to receive the ball, but that left gaps between the lines. Licata’s front three were quick to counter, and the third goal came from a turnover in midfield. Defensively, Licata were excellent, limiting Enna to very few clear chances.

Standout Players

Giacomo Russo was a constant threat in the air and opened the scoring with a fine header. Salvatore Esposito controlled the tempo in midfield and added a well-taken goal. Marco Vitale’s strike was the highlight of the night, a clean hit from distance. For Enna, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, but the team lacked creativity in the final third.

What the Result Means

ASD Licata move forward with three important points and bragging rights in the Sicilian derby. The clean sheet will please the coaching staff as much as the goals, as defensive solidity is crucial in Serie D. Enna remain under pressure after a difficult home defeat, and they will need to improve quickly to climb the table. In the head-to-head between these two sides, Licata now have the upper hand.
