Certosa Vigor Campagnano claimed a dramatic 3-2 victory over ASD Monastir in Italian Serie D on 18 October 2026, winning a five-goal contest that swung one way and then the other before the hosts found the decisive moment late on. The three points were especially valuable for Certosa Vigor Campagnano, who combined attacking intent with enough resilience to survive Monastir’s repeated comebacks.

Match overview

From the opening whistle, Certosa Vigor Campagnano looked to play on the front foot. The home side pressed high, moved the ball quickly through midfield and forced Monastir into a series of early clearances. That pressure produced the opening goal, but Monastir responded well and showed why they remained dangerous on the counter-attack throughout the night.

The game was level at half-time, and the second half followed a similar pattern: Certosa Vigor Campagnano controlling more of the ball, Monastir threatening whenever they won it back. With the score at 2-2 entering the final stages, the match seemed destined for a draw, but Certosa found one last attacking sequence to claim all three points.

Key moments

• 12th minute: Certosa Vigor Campagnano took the lead through Luca Ferri, who arrived late in the box to finish a low cross.
• 27th minute: ASD Monastir equalised when Riccardo Serra broke into space and placed a shot beyond the goalkeeper.
• 54th minute: The hosts restored their advantage as Andrea Conti converted from close range after a spell of sustained pressure.
• 71st minute: Monastir responded again, levelling at 2-2 from a well-worked set piece that ended with a header at the back post.
• 84th minute: Federico Nanni scored the winner for Certosa, finishing calmly after a quick transition through midfield.

Tactical story

Certosa Vigor Campagnano’s approach was built on energy and quick ball circulation. Their midfield trio pressed aggressively, forcing Monastir into hurried passes and allowing the full-backs to push forward. The hosts created their best chances when they switched play quickly and attacked the space behind Monastir’s defensive line.

Monastir, by contrast, were at their most dangerous in transition. They sat deeper, absorbed pressure and looked to release their forwards with direct passes. That strategy earned them two equalisers and kept the match tense until the closing minutes, but Certosa’s late composure in the final third proved decisive.

Standout players

Luca Ferri was central to Certosa’s best moments, linking midfield and attack and setting the tempo of the game. Federico Nanni’s late winner underlined his importance in the penalty area, while Andrea Conti’s movement caused problems throughout. For Monastir, Riccardo Serra was a constant counter-attacking threat and deserved credit for keeping his side in the contest.

Season impact

The win gives Certosa Vigor Campagnano momentum in the Serie D standings and reinforces their ability to grind out results in tight matches. For ASD Monastir, the defeat is a frustrating one after twice fighting back, but the performance showed enough attacking quality to suggest they can remain competitive in the coming weeks.
