Sandona 1922 delivered a dominant away performance to beat Bassano 3-0 in Italian Serie D on 25 October 2026. The visitors scored in each phase of the match, combining incisive counter-attacking with a ruthless edge in front of goal, while Bassano struggled to cope with the pace and pressing of their opponents.

Match overview

Sandona 1922 started with purpose and took an early lead, which forced Bassano to chase the game. The home side saw more of the ball for spells but were repeatedly exposed on the break. Sandona added a second early in the second half and then sealed the result with a third goal late on, capping a thoroughly professional away display.

Key moments

• 12th minute: Sandona took the lead when Federico Riva intercepted a loose pass and finished calmly one-on-one.
• 28th minute: Bassano’s best chance of the first half came from a header that cleared the crossbar.
• 49th minute: Alessio Conti doubled the lead with a low drive from the edge of the box after a swift counter-attack.
• 78th minute: Marco Villa completed the scoring with a composed finish after being played through on goal.

Tactical story

Sandona’s pressing game disrupted Bassano’s rhythm from the outset. By winning the ball high up the pitch, the visitors created chances without needing long spells of possession. Bassano tried to build through midfield but were often forced sideways, and Sandona’s defensive line held firm when the home side did manage to get into crossing positions.

Standout players

Riva set the tone with the opening goal and was a threat throughout, while Conti’s energy in midfield helped Sandona control transitions. Villa’s late goal was the reward for a disciplined all-round team performance. For Bassano, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat.

Table and season impact

The emphatic win boosts Sandona 1922’s goal difference and strengthens their position in the Serie D table. Bassano will need to regroup quickly after a heavy home defeat, particularly with the defensive errors that allowed Sandona to dictate the game.
