ASD Seravezza Calcio 1-1 Follonica Gavorrano — ASD Seravezza Calcio and Follonica Gavorrano played out a competitive 1-1 draw in Italian Serie D on 25 October 2026, with both goals arriving in a lively second half.

Match overview

The teams traded possession early on without creating much in the final third, but the game opened up after the interval. Seravezza Calcio took the lead with a well-worked move, only for Follonica Gavorrano to respond with a determined equaliser. Neither side could find a winner in the closing minutes, despite a frantic finale.

It was a typical Serie D encounter: physical, direct at times, but with enough quality in midfield to keep the contest engaging. Both teams showed attacking intent, and the draw was probably a fair reflection of an evenly matched game.

Key moments

• 22nd minute: Seravezza’s first meaningful attack ended with a shot from distance that dipped just over the bar.
• 49th minute: The hosts took the lead when Tommaso Ricci converted a low cross from the left with a first-time finish.
• 63rd minute: Follonica Gavorrano equalised through Giacomo Neri, who headed home a deep free-kick.
• 78th minute: Seravezza hit the side-netting after a quick break, and the home crowd sensed a winner.
• 91st minute: Follonica’s goalkeeper produced a strong save to deny Seravezza at the death.

Tactical story

Seravezza Calcio used a 4-4-2 system and tried to attack down the flanks, getting crosses into the box for their forwards. That approach worked well for the opening goal, but Follonica Gavorrano adjusted by narrowing their defensive line and forcing Seravezza into central areas. The visitors then grew into the game, pressing higher and winning more second balls after the break.

Follonica’s equaliser came from a set piece, a theme that has been important for them this season. Their aerial strength caused problems, and Seravezza struggled to clear their lines consistently in the second half. The hosts pushed hard late on, but Follonica defended their box well and held on for a valuable point.

Standout performers

Ricci was sharp for Seravezza, showing good movement and a clinical finish for his goal. For Follonica Gavorrano, Neri’s presence in the box was decisive, and his header changed the momentum of the match. Both goalkeepers made important saves, particularly in the final 15 minutes, to ensure the points were shared.

What the result means

The draw keeps both teams in the middle of a crowded Serie D table, with Seravezza Calcio perhaps feeling the greater frustration after leading at home. Follonica Gavorrano will be pleased with their response and their set-piece threat, which remains one of their strongest weapons. Both sides will look to turn these hard-earned draws into wins in the coming weeks.
