ASD Seravezza Calcio produced one of the most emphatic performances of the round, sweeping aside ASD Terranuova Traiana 3-0 in Italian Serie D on Sunday 27 September 2026. A dominant first-half display effectively decided the match before the interval, and a third goal after the break completed a result that underlined the home side's quality in front of their own supporters.

Match Overview

Seravezza were sharper from the first whistle. Their midfield pressed aggressively and their wide players attacked the spaces behind Terranuova's full-backs, forcing the visitors into a series of hurried clearances. The opening goal came inside the first half-hour, and once the deadlock was broken the floodgates briefly threatened to open: a second arrived before half-time as Terranuova struggled to reorganise at the back.

The third goal, early in the second half, ended any realistic hope of a comeback. From that point Seravezza managed the game sensibly, keeping possession and denying their opponents any sustained spell of pressure. It was a professional, disciplined closing act from a team that clearly knew the game was won.

Key Moments

• Breakthrough goal — a clever run between centre-back and full-back was found by a threaded pass, and the finish was clinical.
• Quickfire second — a mistake in the Terranuova defence was punished immediately, with the ball worked into the box and converted from close range.
• Third after the restart — Seravezza's best goal of the night, a sweeping move from back to front finished first time at the near post.
• Rare Terranuova chance — a free kick from a dangerous position was curled narrowly over the crossbar, the visitors' only genuine sight of goal.

Tactical Story

Seravezza's shape was fluid, with the front line rotating constantly to confuse man-marking assignments. The two wide forwards repeatedly swapped flanks, dragging defenders out of position, and the central midfielder pushed forward to become a third runner in the box during attacks. It was a system designed to overload the defensive third, and Terranuova never found a convincing answer.

The visitors, by contrast, struggled to string passes together. Their attempts to play out from the back were frustrated by Seravezza's pressing, forcing long balls that the home defence headed away with ease. A change of formation at half-time brought a brief improvement in structure, but by then the match had already slipped away.

Standout Performers

Seravezza's attacking trio shared the plaudits, with the movement and link-up play between them creating all three goals. The midfield anchor was quietly excellent, screening the defence and recycling possession, while the goalkeeper dealt confidently with the few crosses that came his way. For Terranuova, the captain in central defence kept working until the end, and the substitute midfielder added some energy and composure in a difficult second half.

Season Impact

A three-goal home win is exactly the kind of result that builds momentum in Serie D, where goal difference can matter enormously come spring. Seravezza will look back on this as a template performance: aggressive pressing, quick ball movement, ruthless finishing. Terranuova Traiana, meanwhile, must regroup quickly. Heavy away defeats can dent confidence, and the coaching staff will focus on restoring defensive organisation and defensive partnerships before the next fixture.
