ASD Rondinella Marzocco and ASD Seravezza Calcio had to settle for a point apiece after a 0-0 draw in Italian Serie D on 18 October 2026. In a match that kicked off at 21:00, both sides produced disciplined defensive displays and cancelled each other out in the final third, leaving the scoreboard untouched at the final whistle.

Match overview

The Serie D clash brought together two Tuscan outfits with ambitions of climbing the league table, and the opening exchanges reflected that stakes. Rondinella Marzocco looked to impose themselves early with quick switches of play, while Seravezza Calcio sat compact and looked to strike on the counter. Clear-cut chances were rare, but the intensity and physicality of the contest kept the crowd engaged throughout.

Seravezza enjoyed slightly more possession before the interval, yet Rondinella’s back line held firm. The second half opened up a little as both coaches made attacking changes, but the decisive final pass continued to elude the forwards. A late flurry of set pieces gave the home supporters hope, but Seravezza defended resolutely to preserve their clean sheet.

Key moments

• 23rd minute: Rondinella’s first meaningful effort came from a low drive just outside the box, but Seravezza’s goalkeeper got down well to smother the ball.
• 41st minute: Seravezza broke quickly down the right and delivered a dangerous cross, only for a last-ditch interception to clear the danger.
• 67th minute: The visitors won a free kick in a promising position, but the resulting shot sailed narrowly over the crossbar.
• 84th minute: Rondinella’s best chance of the night arrived from a corner, with a header flashing just wide of the far post.

Tactical story

Rondinella Marzocco set up with a patient build-up approach, trying to draw Seravezza out of their defensive shape before releasing runners into the channels. Seravezza, by contrast, were content to defend in a mid-to-low block and use quick transitions to relieve pressure. That tactical battle produced a midfield stalemate: neither side allowed the other time on the ball in central areas, and the match was decided by small margins rather than sustained dominance.

The introduction of fresh legs in the second half added urgency, but the final ball remained inconsistent. Both teams prioritised avoiding defeat in the closing stages, and the goalless outcome felt like a fair reflection of a contest in which the defences were on top.

Standout performers

Rondinella’s goalkeeper delivered a composed performance, handling crosses confidently and making one important second-half save. In front of him, the centre-back pairing read the game well and dealt with Seravezza’s counter-attacks. For the visitors, the midfield anchor was instrumental in breaking up play, while their left-back combined defensive discipline with useful support going forward. It was a night when collective organisation outweighed individual brilliance.

What the result means

The draw adds one point to both clubs’ Serie D totals and keeps each side within touching distance of the positions above them in the Girone E standings. For Rondinella Marzocco, the clean sheet is a positive foundation to build on, even if the attacking fluency was missing. Seravezza Calcio will take encouragement from a solid away performance and another defensive shutout. Both teams will now turn their attention to the next round of fixtures, knowing that turning draws into wins will be key to their seasonal ambitions.
