ASD Millesimo Calcio produced a commanding home display to beat Borgosesia 3-0, claiming a convincing victory that was built on a bright start, disciplined defending and a third goal that put the result beyond any doubt. The three-goal margin was fully deserved and gives the Ligurian side a healthy boost in both points and goal difference.

Match Overview

Millesimo set the tone from the first whistle, pressing Borgosesia high and refusing to let the visitors settle into any rhythm. The pattern of the match was established early: home side on the front foot, away side struggling to keep possession and increasingly forced to defend deep.

Borgosesia came into the fixture with ambitions of their own, but they were never able to play the game on their terms. Every time they tried to build through midfield, Millesimo's compact shape closed the space and turned the ball over.

Key Moments

• First goal: Millesimo took the lead with a well-crafted move, a clever run in behind the defence finished with composure inside the area.
• Second goal: The hosts doubled the advantage before half-time, punishing a loose pass with a quick, direct transition.
• Third goal: After the break, a third goal sealed the contest and ended any hope of a Borgosesia comeback.
• Clean sheet: The Millesimo back line protected their goalkeeper throughout, limiting the visitors to speculative efforts from distance.

Tactical Story

Millesimo's formation gave them control in central areas and overloads in wide positions. Their full-backs pushed forward aggressively, stretching Borgosesia's defensive block and creating space for midfield runners arriving late in the box.

Borgosesia's difficulties were twofold: they could not hold the ball long enough to relieve pressure, and when they did win possession, their forward players were isolated against a well-organised back four. The substitutions made by the visitors changed the personnel but not the pattern.

Standout Players

The Millesimo midfield was the engine room of the performance, winning tackles, recycling possession and setting the tempo. Up front, the attacking players rotated constantly, making it difficult for Borgosesia's defenders to track runners. The goalkeeper's handling was secure whenever called upon.

For Borgosesia, the goalkeeper prevented the scoreline from becoming harsher with a series of saves, and the team's young wide players showed flashes of pace and directness even as the match slipped away.

Season Impact

A 3-0 home win is exactly the kind of result that builds confidence over a long Serie D campaign. Millesimo add three points and a strong goal-difference swing, while also giving their supporters a performance to remember at their own ground.

Borgosesia leave with questions to answer, particularly about their ability to cope with high-pressing opponents. The response in training over the coming week will be as important as the result itself.

What's Next

Millesimo will look to reproduce this level of intensity away from home, where points are often harder to come by. Borgosesia need a reaction — a clean sheet and a disciplined 90 minutes would restore confidence quickly in a division where the table compresses fast.
