ASD Caldiero Terme claimed a composed 2-0 home victory over Calcio Brusaporto in Italian Serie D on Saturday, 24 October 2026, with a goal in each half securing all three points at Stadio Mario Berti. The result gives Caldiero Terme a valuable boost in the Serie D standings and extends their promising run on home soil, while Brusaporto were left to rue a lack of cutting edge in the final third.

Match overview

Caldiero Terme set the tone early with an aggressive pressing game and quick switches of play, forcing Brusaporto into several rushed clearances. The hosts opened the scoring midway through the first half when a turnover in midfield released the No. 10, who drove forward and finished low into the bottom corner. Brusaporto responded with a brief spell of pressure but struggled to create clear chances against a well-organised back line.

The second half followed a similar pattern. Caldiero Terme remained compact without the ball and dangerous in transition, and they doubled their lead just after the hour mark from a well-worked corner. A deep delivery was met by the centre-back, whose header looped beyond the goalkeeper and into the far corner. From there, the home side managed the game professionally, limiting Brusaporto to speculative efforts from distance.

Key moments

• 18th minute: Caldiero Terme take the lead through a low finish after a midfield turnover.
• 37th minute: Brusaporto’s best chance of the first half is denied by a strong save from the Caldiero goalkeeper.
• 63rd minute: The hosts double the advantage with a header from a corner.
• 79th minute: Brusaporto push men forward, but a last-ditch block preserves the two-goal cushion.

Tactical story

Caldiero Terme’s 4-3-3 shape worked effectively against Brusaporto’s attempt to build through the middle. The home midfield pressed in coordinated bursts, cutting off central passing lanes and forcing the visitors wide. Brusaporto enjoyed more possession in the second half but lacked penetration, often settling for crosses into a crowded penalty area. Caldiero’s ability to defend the box and counter with purpose proved decisive.

Standout players

The Caldiero No. 10 was the creative spark, linking midfield and attack and opening the scoring with a composed finish. The centre-back deserved credit for both his defensive positioning and his headed goal, while the goalkeeper made one crucial first-half save at 1-0. For Brusaporto, the left winger was the most persistent threat, but his deliveries went largely unrewarded.

Season impact

Three points lift Caldiero Terme into a stronger position in the Serie D table and reinforce their reputation as a difficult side to beat at home. For Calcio Brusaporto, the defeat highlights the need for more creativity in the final third as they look to climb the standings. Caldiero will take confidence from a clean sheet and a disciplined all-round performance.
