Chisola delivered a composed and clinical away performance to beat ACSD Saluzzo 3-0 in Italian Serie D on 18 October 2026. The visitors defended with discipline, absorbed pressure when needed and punished Saluzzo with three well-timed goals that underlined their quality in both boxes.

Match overview

Saluzzo began with intent and enjoyed more of the ball in the opening stages, but they struggled to turn possession into clear chances. Chisola sat in a compact shape, closed the central spaces and looked to strike on the break. The pattern suited the visitors, who took the lead midway through the first half and never looked back.

After the interval, Saluzzo pushed more players forward in search of an equaliser, but that only created more room for Chisola to exploit. The away side added a second goal just before the hour mark and sealed the win late on with a third, leaving the hosts with a frustrating evening in front of goal.

Key moments

• 23rd minute: Chisola took the lead after a quick counter-attack ended with a low finish from the edge of the box.
• 58th minute: The visitors doubled their advantage when their centre-forward converted a cross from the right.
• 87th minute: Chisola completed the scoring with a composed finish after Saluzzo were caught pushing too many players forward.

Tactical story

Saluzzo tried to build patiently from the back, but Chisola’s midfield pressed intelligently and cut off the passing lanes into central areas. The hosts were often forced wide, where Chisola’s defenders were comfortable dealing with crosses and long balls.

Chisola’s attacking plan was clear: win the ball back and attack quickly. Their forwards made sharp runs in behind, and their midfielders supported with late arrivals into the box. That combination proved too much for Saluzzo, especially after the second goal forced the home side to take more risks.

Standout players

Chisola’s centre-forward was the focal point of the attack, scoring twice and holding the ball up well under pressure. The midfield also played a key role, balancing defensive discipline with quick forward passes. For Saluzzo, the goalkeeper made important saves to keep the score respectable, but the home side lacked a cutting edge in the final third.

Season impact

The three points give Chisola a valuable away win and reinforce their credentials in the Serie D campaign. Saluzzo, meanwhile, will need to improve their attacking efficiency after a performance that produced possession but not enough clear chances. The result leaves both sides with important lessons as the season progresses.
