ACD Campodarsego and Clodiense played out a dramatic 2-2 draw in Serie D on Sunday, 25 October 2026, with a late equaliser denying the hosts a victory they had seemed likely to secure after a strong first-half display. Campodarsego led by two goals before Clodiense fought back to claim a share of the points.

Match overview

The home side started aggressively, pressing Clodiense high and forcing errors in the visitors’ build-up. That approach paid off early when Campodarsego won a penalty and converted it with confidence. A second goal followed before the break, and at that stage the match appeared to be moving firmly in the hosts’ direction.

Clodiense, however, had shown enough going forward to suggest a comeback was possible. They pulled one back shortly before half-time and then grew into the game after the interval, pushing more bodies forward and forcing Campodarsego deeper.

Key moments

• 9’ – Campodarsego take the lead from the penalty spot after a foul inside the area.
• 33’ – The hosts double the advantage with a sweeping move finished at the back post.
• 44’ – Clodiense pull one back after a quick exchange on the edge of the box.
• 87’ – Clodiense equalise with a header from a deep cross, capping a strong second-half comeback.

Campodarsego had chances to restore their two-goal cushion, most notably on the counter-attack midway through the second half, but they were unable to take them. Clodiense’s goalkeeper also produced a fine stop to keep the deficit manageable before the equaliser arrived.

Tactical story

Campodarsego’s high press was effective in the opening half-hour. By forcing Clodiense into rushed passes, they won the ball in advanced areas and created repeated problems. The home midfield also controlled the central spaces, allowing the wingers to isolate their markers.

Clodiense changed shape after the break, introducing greater width and pushing their wing-backs higher. That adjustment stretched Campodarsego’s defensive line and gave the visitors a route back into the game. As the hosts tired, the space between midfield and defence grew, and Clodiense exploited it with crosses and late runs into the box.

Standout performers

Campodarsego’s attacking midfielder was the game’s most influential player in the first half, dictating the tempo and creating the second goal. Their centre-back pairing dealt well with long balls for long periods but was eventually overwhelmed by the late pressure. For Clodiense, the substitute who changed the momentum after half-time was crucial, while the goalscorer who headed in the late equaliser showed excellent movement in a crowded penalty area.

Season impact

The draw leaves both sides with mixed feelings. Campodarsego will be pleased with the quality of their first-half performance but disappointed by their game management. Clodiense will take confidence from their refusal to give up and from the tactical flexibility shown in the second half.

In a Serie D group where away points are precious and momentum can shift quickly, this result could prove more valuable to Clodiense than it first appears. Campodarsego, meanwhile, will need to close out games more effectively if they are to turn strong starts into consistent victories.
