Chievo delivered a commanding 4-0 away victory over AC Leon Monza Brianza in Serie D on Sunday, 25 October 2026, producing a ruthless attacking display that underlined their quality in both boxes. The visitors scored twice in each half and controlled the game for long stretches.

Match overview

Chievo set the tone early, pressing AC Leon Monza Brianza into mistakes and moving the ball quickly into attacking areas. The opening goal arrived in the 14th minute and immediately settled the visitors, who continued to dominate possession and territory. Leon struggled to build any sustained rhythm, often losing the ball in midfield and leaving their defence exposed.

By half-time Chievo led 2-0, and the second half followed a similar pattern. Leon briefly threatened after the restart, but Chievo’s third goal effectively ended any hope of a comeback. A fourth goal late in the game completed a convincing scoreline.

Key moments

• 14’ – Chievo take the lead with a composed finish after a high turnover.
• 41’ – Chievo double the advantage from a well-worked move down the right.
• 62’ – The visitors make it 3-0 with a close-range finish after a corner was only half-cleared.
• 79’ – Chievo complete the scoring with a low strike from the edge of the area.

AC Leon Monza Brianza’s best chance came early in the second half, but a combination of a fine save and a last-ditch block kept the home side off the scoresheet. Chievo’s goalkeeper was largely untroubled thereafter, as the visitors managed the game with maturity.

Tactical story

Chievo’s pressing structure was central to the result. They denied Leon time on the ball in central areas and forced passes into wide zones where they could trap the ball and counter. Their midfield also dominated second balls, allowing them to sustain attacks and keep the home side pinned back.

Leon’s difficulties were compounded by their inability to keep possession under pressure. When they did break forward, they lacked support and were often outnumbered. Defensively, they struggled with Chievo’s movement in the box and conceded from both open play and a set piece.

Standout performers

Chievo’s centre-forward produced a strong all-round display, scoring twice and linking play effectively. The attacking midfielder was equally impressive, drifting into pockets of space and creating several chances. For Leon, the goalkeeper prevented an even heavier defeat with a string of second-half saves, while their captain tried to drive the team forward despite limited service.

Season impact

The victory is a significant statement for Chievo, boosting both their points total and their goal difference in the Serie D group. Away wins of this nature can build belief, and the clean sheet will be particularly pleasing for the coaching staff.

For AC Leon Monza Brianza, this was a difficult afternoon that highlighted the gap between the sides on the day. The focus will now be on restoring defensive solidity and finding a way to compete more effectively in midfield. Chievo, meanwhile, will look to use this performance as a platform for the weeks ahead.
