Tactical Story

Inter Milan U23 set up in a fluid 4-3-3, with the front three interchanging positions to confuse Crotone’s backline. Their high press forced several turnovers in dangerous areas. Crotone tried to build from the back but were constantly harried, leading to rushed passes. The home side switched to a more direct approach in the second half, but Inter’s back four held firm.

Standout Players

Inter’s attacking midfielder was the standout, scoring one and assisting the other with a performance full of flair and intelligence. Their centre-back partnership was rock solid, winning aerial duels and reading the game well. For Crotone, the goalkeeper kept the score respectable with three excellent saves, but the team lacked a cutting edge.

What It Means for the Table

This result is a significant statement for Inter Milan U23, proving they can compete against established Serie C clubs. Crotone, meanwhile, drop points in their push for promotion, and questions will be asked about their creativity. The win moves Inter up the standings, while Crotone remain in the chasing pack.
