Tactical Story

Arzignano Valchiampo used width effectively, with their full-backs overlapping to create crossing opportunities. Their midfield pressed Renate’s deep-lying playmaker, forcing long passes that were easier to defend. Renate tried to press high after equalising, but that left gaps behind their defensive line, which Arzignano exploited for the winning goal.

Renate’s best spells came when they moved the ball quickly through central areas, but they lacked a decisive final touch. Arzignano’s game management in the final 15 minutes was impressive, as they slowed the tempo and kept possession in the corners.

Standout Players

Tommaso Fantacci: Opened the scoring with a calm finish and was a constant threat with his runs in behind.

Lorenzo Bordo: Scored the decisive goal and defended diligently from set pieces, proving influential at both ends.

Filippo Pirola: Renate’s equaliser was well taken, and he remained the visitors’ most likely source of a second goal.

Standings and Season Impact

The win moves Arzignano Valchiampo into a more comfortable position in the Serie C standings, easing early-season pressure. Renate AC remain within touching distance of mid-table, but consecutive away defeats will be a concern for their coaching staff.

In a division known for its tactical density, narrow victories like this can define a season. Arzignano will look to build momentum, while Renate must improve their away form to stay in the hunt for a playoff place.
