Juve Stabia produced a convincing home performance in Italian Serie B on 18 October 2026, beating SudTirol 3-0 with a display that combined patience in possession with sharp finishing in the final third. The hosts controlled the tempo for long stretches and were rewarded with goals at key moments, ensuring the three points stayed in Castellammare di Stabia.

Match overview

Juve Stabia began the match with intent, pressing SudTirol's defenders and forcing them into early errors. The home side's midfield dictated the rhythm, switching play from side to side and creating space for their forwards to attack. SudTirol defended in numbers but struggled to keep the ball when they won it back, and the pressure eventually told. A two-goal cushion at half-time gave Juve Stabia a platform to manage the second half, and they added a third late on to seal the result.

Key moments

• 18th minute: Juve Stabia took the lead after a neat exchange on the edge of the box opened up space for a low finish into the bottom corner.
• 41st minute: The hosts doubled their advantage from a corner, with a powerful header finding the net despite the goalkeeper's best efforts.
• 55th minute: SudTirol's best spell of the match saw them force a save and a blocked shot, but they could not find a way back into the game.
• 76th minute: Juve Stabia's goalkeeper made a crucial stop to preserve the clean sheet and deny SudTirol a lifeline.
• 85th minute: A quick counter-attack ended with a composed finish to make it 3-0 and confirm the home side's dominance.

Tactical story

Juve Stabia's 3-0 win was built on control. Their midfield pressed in a coordinated way, forcing SudTirol to play long and then winning the second balls. In possession, the hosts used their full-backs to stretch the opposition and created overloads in wide areas. SudTirol, meanwhile, found it difficult to transition from defence to attack. Their front players were isolated for long periods, and when they did get into promising positions, Juve Stabia's defenders were quick to close the space.

Standout players

The home side's attacking unit shared the credit, with the forwards linking well and causing constant problems for SudTirol's back line. The midfield anchor was particularly influential, breaking up play and starting attacks with simple, effective passes. Defensively, Juve Stabia's centre-backs were commanding in the air and composed on the ground, while the goalkeeper made a smart second-half save to keep the clean sheet intact. For SudTirol, the goalkeeper kept the score respectable with several stops, but the visitors lacked a consistent attacking threat.

Season impact

The victory gives Juve Stabia a valuable boost in Italian Serie B, reinforcing their home form and adding another clean sheet to their record. For SudTirol, the defeat is a reminder of the fine margins in the division, particularly away from home. With the season still developing, both sides will look to build on the lessons from this match, but it is Juve Stabia who can reflect on a job well done.
