Match Overview

Venezia started brightly, pressing high and forcing Brescia into early mistakes. The home side's midfield, led by Nicolò Zampano, dictated the tempo, and their attacking trio caused problems with quick interchanges. Brescia, however, grew into the game and began to find space in behind Venezia's full-backs. The first half ended goalless, but not for lack of effort. Venezia's Filippo Gatti saw a shot deflected wide, while Brescia's Mattia Ferrari forced a smart save from Marco D'Andrea. The second half exploded into life when Venezia took the lead, only for Brescia to equalise within ten minutes.

Tactical Story

Venezia F.C. Youth lined up in a 4-2-3-1, looking to overload the flanks and deliver early crosses. Their full-backs pushed high, and the midfield duo of Zampano and Marco Rossi controlled possession. Brescia U19, operating in a 4-3-3, initially struggled with Venezia's press but adapted by dropping their wingers deeper to create a five-man midfield. After the break, Brescia's coach switched to a more direct approach, targeting the space behind Venezia's advanced full-backs. That tweak paid off almost instantly with Marchetti's equaliser. In the final 20 minutes, both teams pushed for a winner, but tired legs and resolute defending kept the score level.

Standout Players

Filippo Gatti was Venezia's brightest spark, scoring a well-taken goal and constantly troubling the Brescia defence with his movement. In midfield, Nicolò Zampano dictated play and nearly assisted a second goal. For Brescia, Simone Marchetti was the standout, not only for his stunning equaliser but also for his tireless work off the ball. Defender Davide Ceravolo made several crucial blocks, while goalkeeper Luca Bortolotti commanded his area well and made a key save late on.

Season Impact

The draw leaves both Venezia F.C. Youth and Brescia U19 level on points in the Primavera 2 table, highlighting the competitive nature of the league. Venezia will feel they dropped two points after controlling large spells, while Brescia will view the away draw as a positive result. With the season progressing, both sides remain in the hunt for a playoff spot, and this match demonstrated their strengths and areas for improvement. Venezia must be more clinical in front of goal, while Brescia will look to build on their resilient second-half display.
