Sampdoria U19 produced a statement performance in the Campionato Primavera 2, dismantling Brescia U19 5-1 on Saturday evening. A dominant first-half display and a ruthless second-half finish gave the Blucerchiati a convincing home win that will be remembered for its attacking fluency and clinical edge.

Match overview

Sampdoria set the tone from the first whistle, pressing high and forcing Brescia into hurried clearances. The hosts opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Matteo Corsi finished a flowing move down the right. Corsi doubled the lead in the 33rd minute with a low drive from the edge of the box, and Sampdoria went into half-time with complete control. Brescia briefly threatened a comeback when Davide Conti pulled one back in the 54th minute, but the response was immediate. Luca Bianchi restored the three-goal cushion in the 61st minute, Corsi completed his hat-trick in the 72nd minute, and Andrea Ferri added a fifth in the 84th minute to complete the rout.

Key moments

• 14’ – Sampdoria lead: Corsi converted a low cross after a crisp passing sequence on the right.
• 33’ – Corsi doubles the advantage: A neat first touch created space for a powerful finish.
• 54’ – Brescia respond: Conti’s close-range effort briefly gave the visitors hope.
• 61’ – Bianchi kills the momentum: The midfielder arrived late in the box to finish emphatically.
• 72’ – Corsi completes his hat-trick: A composed finish capped a standout individual display.
• 84’ – Ferri makes it five: The substitute rounded off a sweeping team move.

Tactical story

Sampdoria’s success was built on aggressive pressing and quick ball circulation. The hosts consistently overloaded Brescia’s wide areas, drawing defenders out of position before switching play into the box. Corsi’s movement between the centre-backs and full-backs was difficult to track, and the midfield’s forward runs added another layer to an already potent attack. Brescia’s consolation goal came from a rare moment of sustained pressure, but the visitors were otherwise second-best in duels and transitions. Sampdoria’s ability to regain possession immediately after losing it suffocated Brescia’s attempts to build rhythm.

Standout performers

Corsi was the obvious headline act with a hat-trick, but the performance was built on a complete team effort. Bianchi controlled the midfield and contributed a goal, while Ferri’s energy from the bench maintained the intensity late on. Brescia’s goalkeeper prevented an even heavier defeat with several saves, and Conti was the visitors’ most persistent attacking threat.

Season impact

The three points strengthen Sampdoria U19’s position in the Campionato Primavera 2 standings and underline its attacking potential. Brescia U19 will need to regroup quickly after a heavy defeat, particularly with defensive transitions becoming a recurring problem. For Sampdoria, the challenge now is consistency: if the side can reproduce this level of pressing and finishing, it will remain a difficult opponent for any team in the division.
