Perugia Youth 5-0 Frosinone Youth: Dominant Hosts Run Rampant in Campionato Primavera 2

Perugia Youth produced one of the most emphatic results of the Campionato Primavera 2 round, crushing Frosinone Youth 5-0 at home on 24 October 2026. The hosts were sharper from the first whistle, pressed with real intensity and turned sustained attacking pressure into a convincing victory that will be remembered as a statement performance in the youth campaign.

The final score tells the story of a match that was rarely in doubt. Perugia Youth controlled possession in the opening phases, forced Frosinone Youth into rushed clearances and created a steady flow of chances. Once the first goal arrived, the home side played with freedom and confidence, while Frosinone struggled to contain runners from midfield and wide areas.

Match overview

Perugia set up with an aggressive high line and looked to win the ball back quickly in Frosinone’s half. That approach paid off repeatedly, as the visitors were unable to establish rhythm through midfield. Perugia’s attacking players rotated well, dragging defenders out of position and opening space for late arrivals in the penalty area.

Frosinone Youth had brief moments of possession but lacked penetration. Their best spells came early in the second half, when they tried to push higher up the pitch, but Perugia’s defensive organisation held firm. The clean sheet was just as satisfying for the hosts as the five goals at the other end.

Key moments

• 12th minute: Perugia opened the scoring after a quick turnover, with a low finish from inside the box setting the tone for the evening.
• 31st minute: The lead doubled following a well-worked move down the right, finished confidently at the near post.
• 48th minute: A third goal shortly after the restart effectively ended Frosinone’s hopes of a comeback.
• 67th minute: Perugia added a fourth from a set-piece situation, punishing another defensive lapse.
• 84th minute: The fifth goal completed the rout, capping a dominant attacking display.

Tactical story

The match was a clear contrast in control and confidence. Perugia’s midfield won the second-ball battle consistently, allowing the team to sustain attacks and pin Frosinone deep. The hosts also used width effectively, stretching the visiting back line before attacking the spaces between full-back and centre-back.

Frosinone’s attempts to press higher after half-time left more room behind their midfield, and Perugia exploited it ruthlessly. The visitors’ goalkeeper made several saves, but the volume of chances was always going to tell. Perugia’s ability to convert in different ways — open play, transitions and set pieces — made the performance especially impressive.

Standout performers

Perugia’s centre-forward led the line with intelligence, holding up play and bringing others into the match. The midfield trio dictated tempo and repeatedly arrived in dangerous areas. At the back, the centre-back pairing dealt comfortably with Frosinone’s rare counter-attacks, while the full-backs contributed energy going forward without neglecting defensive duties.

For Frosinone, the goalkeeper prevented an even heavier defeat with a string of stops, and the captain tried to drive the team forward from midfield. However, too many individual errors in possession allowed Perugia to maintain pressure.

Table impact

The three points and a five-goal swing in goal difference give Perugia Youth a significant boost in the Campionato Primavera 2 standings. More importantly, the performance underlined the squad’s attacking potential and defensive discipline. For Frosinone Youth, the defeat is a setback that demands a quick response, particularly with games coming thick and fast in the youth calendar.

Perugia will take confidence from a complete team display, while Frosinone must regroup and address the defensive issues that allowed the hosts to dominate from start to finish.
