Match Overview

The hosts began with intent, pressing high and looking to use the width of the pitch. Palermo's early pressure produced the opening goal, but Bari responded well, tightening their midfield and finding space between the lines. The visitors equalised before half-time with a well-placed shot from the edge of the area.

The second half followed a similar pattern. Palermo regained the lead through a set piece, only for Bari to hit back again with a quick counterattack. Both teams had chances to win it late on, but resolute goalkeeping and some last-ditch defending kept the score level.

Tactical Story

Palermo lined up in a 4-2-3-1 and tried to dominate through central rotations, with the No. 10 drifting into pockets of space. Bari defended in a 4-4-2 but were dangerous on the break, using their pacey wide players to stretch the Palermo defence. The game became a battle between Palermo's patient buildup and Bari's direct counterattacking.

Both coaches made attacking substitutions in the second half, which opened the game further. Palermo pushed their full-backs higher, while Bari committed more bodies forward on transitions. The tactical trade-off created chances at both ends, but neither side could land the knockout blow.

Standout Players

Palermo's No. 10 was at the heart of most of their best moves, creating the opener and dictating the tempo. Their centre-back was a threat from set pieces and scored the second goal. For Bari, the right winger was a constant outlet, involved in both goals, while the goalkeeper made a crucial late save to preserve the draw.

What the Result Means

The draw leaves Palermo U19 and Bari U19 level on points from this fixture and highlights both teams' attacking potential and defensive vulnerabilities.
