Inter Milan U20 edged Parma U20 2-1 in a closely contested Campionato Primavera 1 fixture on Sunday evening. The young Nerazzurri had to come from behind at the Konami Training Centre, showing patience and character to secure all three points against a disciplined Parma side.

Parma strike first

Parma started brightly and took the lead in the 23rd minute through Matteo Lavelli, who finished neatly after Inter failed to clear a cross. The visitors then dropped into a compact block, looking to protect their advantage and frustrate Inter’s midfield. Inter dominated possession but struggled to find gaps until Giacomo De Pieri equalised in the 41st minute with a curling effort from the edge of the box.

The second half was more open. Inter increased the tempo and brought their full-backs higher, forcing Parma deeper. The decisive moment arrived in the 76th minute when Mattia Mosconi reacted quickest to a rebound and smashed the ball home from close range. Parma pushed for an equaliser late on, but Inter’s defence held firm.

Key moments

• 23’ – Lavelli gives Parma the lead: A defensive lapse allows the Parma forward to finish from inside the area.
• 41’ – De Pieri equalises: A smart turn and curled strike brings Inter level before half-time.
• 76’ – Mosconi scores the winner: The Inter striker pounces on a rebound to complete the comeback.
• 90’ – Late Parma pressure: Inter defend a series of crosses to protect their narrow advantage.

Tactical story

Inter controlled the ball for long spells but initially lacked penetration against Parma’s low block. The introduction of more direct running in the second half stretched the visitors’ defence and created space between the lines. Parma’s counter-attacking threat remained dangerous, but Inter’s midfield adjusted well to limit clear chances after the equaliser.

Standout performers

De Pieri was Inter’s creative spark, drifting into pockets and linking play. Mosconi’s match-winning instinct proved decisive, while the Inter centre-backs dealt with Parma’s late aerial pressure. Parma’s goalkeeper produced several strong saves and Lavelli impressed with his movement before being substituted.

Season impact

The victory keeps Inter Milan U20 in the upper reaches of the Campionato Primavera 1 standings and reinforces their reputation as one of the division’s most competitive sides. Parma U20 will take encouragement from their first-half display, but the late concession leaves them with work to do in the coming weeks.
