Tactical Story

Cheshunt's 4-2-3-1 became more dominant as the game wore on, with their No. 10 finding space between the lines. The winning goal came from a classic counter-attack, exploiting Leatherhead's advanced full-backs.

Standout Players

Cheshunt's striker was the match-winner, taking his goal with composure and leading the line well. Their central midfielder controlled the tempo and won the ball back repeatedly. For Leatherhead, their goalkeeper made two excellent saves to keep the score level for long periods, and their winger was a bright spark, scoring the opener. But defensive lapses ultimately cost them.

Table and Season Impact

The three points lift Cheshunt into a more comfortable position in the Isthmian Premier League standings, boosting their survival hopes. Leatherhead remain in the relegation zone and will be concerned about their inability to hold onto leads. With the season reaching a critical stage, Cheshunt's resilience will be a major asset, while Leatherhead must tighten up defensively to climb out of trouble.
