Qiryat Gat Women produced a statement performance in the Israel Women’s First National, dismantling Bnot Netanya Women 5-0 away from home. The victory was built on relentless pressing, quick combinations in the final third, and a clinical edge that Bnot Netanya simply could not match.

Match Overview

From the opening whistle, Qiryat Gat imposed their rhythm. They pressed high, forced turnovers in dangerous areas, and attacked with numbers. Bnot Netanya struggled to keep possession for more than a few passes at a time, and the visitors’ midfield trio dictated the tempo throughout.

The 5-0 scoreline was no fluke. Qiryat Gat created a string of clear chances and could have added more in the closing stages, while Bnot Netanya’s best moments came from isolated counterattacks that never truly threatened the result.

Key Moments

• Opening goal: Qiryat Gat took the lead inside the first 15 minutes with a composed finish after a high press won the ball back near the box.
• Quick double: Two goals in five minutes before half-time effectively ended the contest, as the away side turned dominance into a commanding lead.
• Second-half ruthlessness: Qiryat Gat added two more after the break, including a well-taken hat-trick goal from their centre-forward.
• Clean sheet: The defence stayed focused until the final whistle, denying Bnot Netanya even a consolation goal.

Tactical Story

Qiryat Gat used a 4-3-3 shape that became a 4-2-3-1 out of possession. Their wingers stayed high and wide, stretching Bnot Netanya’s back line and creating gaps for late-arriving midfielders. The front three rotated constantly, making it difficult for the home defence to mark them man-for-man.

Bnot Netanya attempted to build from the back, but Qiryat Gat’s aggressive counter-press repeatedly trapped them. When the home side did manage to break through, their final pass was often rushed or overhit. It was a difficult evening for the Netanya defence, which was pulled out of shape time and again.

Standout Performers

The Qiryat Gat striker was the obvious star, scoring a hat-trick and linking play intelligently. Their right winger was a constant menace, beating her marker repeatedly and delivering dangerous crosses. In midfield, the deep-lying playmaker controlled the game with simple, effective passing. For Bnot Netanya, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, and their captain showed leadership despite the scoreline.

What It Means

Qiryat Gat Women move up the Israel Women’s First National standings with a major boost to their goal difference. The three points strengthen their push for a high finish, while Bnot Netanya Women will need to regroup quickly. The defensive issues exposed here will be a priority on the training ground before their next fixture.
