Kafr Qasim produced the standout attacking display of the round, beating Hapoel Kfar Saba 4-2 in a thrilling Israel Leumit League encounter. Six goals, momentum swings and a late surge from the visitors made this one of the most entertaining matches of the week, with the hosts ultimately holding their nerve to claim all three points.

An Open, End-to-End Contest

From the opening whistle, it was clear this would not be a cagey affair. Kafr Qasim pressed aggressively and looked to attack at speed, while Hapoel Kfar Saba were happy to trade blows and hit back on the counter. The tempo was high throughout, with both midfields struggling to control the rhythm of the game.

Kafr Qasim struck first, converting a well-constructed attacking move to take an early lead. Kfar Saba responded quickly, levelling the score and briefly silencing the home crowd. Rather than retreat, the hosts reasserted themselves and regained the advantage before the interval.

Second Half Goes to the Hosts

After the break, Kafr Qasim stepped up another gear. A third goal gave them breathing room, and when a fourth followed, the contest appeared settled. To their credit, Hapoel Kfar Saba refused to fold, pulling one back and forcing a nervous final stretch in which the home defence had to concentrate on every clearance.

Kafr Qasim managed the closing minutes well, slowing the game down, keeping possession and denying their opponents the clean look at goal they needed to complete an unlikely comeback.

Key Moments

• Early opener: Kafr Qasim's bright start was rewarded with the first goal of the game.
• Instant response: Kfar Saba equalised quickly to keep the contest level.
• Hosts regain control: Kafr Qasim scored twice more either side of half time to build a cushion.
• Late drama: Kfar Saba's second goal set up a tense finish, but the hosts held on.

Tactical Story

This was a game decided by the quality of finishing and the speed of transition. Kafr Qasim consistently won the ball high and attacked before Kfar Saba's defensive shape could reset, while the visitors' own threat came almost entirely from quick breaks. In a match with so much space in midfield, the team that converted its moments more ruthlessly was always likely to prevail — and that was the home side.

Season Impact

A four-goal performance is a statement of intent, and the three points strengthen Kafr Qasim's position in the Leumit League table while underlining their attacking potential. Hapoel Kfar Saba leave with nothing but can take encouragement from a spirited display in which they scored twice away from home. For both teams, defensive tightening will be the focus in training ahead of the next fixtures.
