Shimshon Tel Aviv Secures Convincing 3-1 Win Over Holon Yermiyahu

Shimshon Tel Aviv produced a strong home performance to beat Holon Yermiyahu 3-1 in the Israel B League on 17 September 2026. The victory was built on a purposeful first-half display and a clinical second-half burst, giving the Tel Aviv side a valuable three points in the race for position in the league table.

Holon Yermiyahu arrived with hopes of frustrating their hosts, but Shimshon Tel Aviv's tempo and movement proved too much over the ninety minutes. The home side controlled long spells of the match and deservedly took the spoils in front of their supporters.

Match Overview

Shimshon Tel Aviv began on the front foot, pressing high and forcing Holon Yermiyahu into hurried clearances. The opening goal came after a sustained spell of pressure, with a clever run and composed finish putting the home side ahead. Holon responded well, though, and found an equaliser before the break when a quick counterattack caught Shimshon's defence momentarily out of shape.

The second half was a different story. Shimshon Tel Aviv reasserted control, moved the ball faster in wide areas, and reclaimed the lead just before the hour mark. From that point on, the home team looked the more likely scorers, and a third goal late in the game sealed the result.

Key Moments

• Opening goal: Shimshon Tel Aviv broke the deadlock with a well-worked move that ended with a low finish into the corner.
• Holon equaliser: A fast break and a neat exchange on the edge of the box brought Holon Yermiyahu level.
• Second-half surge: Shimshon regained the lead with a header from a dangerous delivery, shifting the momentum permanently.
• Late clincher: A third goal in the closing stages removed any doubt and capped a dominant second-half display.

Tactical Story

Shimshon Tel Aviv lined up with an aggressive 4-3-3, using their wingers to stretch Holon's back line and create space for the midfield runners. Their pressing was well coordinated, often trapping Holon Yermiyahu near the touchline and forcing turnovers in promising areas. When they lost the ball, they recovered quickly, denying their opponents time to build confidence.

Holon Yermiyahu had their moments on the counter, particularly in the first half, but they struggled to sustain attacks. Their midfield was often outnumbered, and once Shimshon's full-backs began pushing higher in the second half, the visitors were pinned back. The 3-1 scoreline reflected the balance of play.

Standout Players

Shimshon Tel Aviv's forward line was the difference. The striker's movement caused constant problems, and the supporting wide players combined well throughout. The midfield anchor also deserves credit for winning second balls and keeping the team's shape intact during Holon's better spells.

For Holon Yermiyahu, the goalkeeper made several important saves to keep the score respectable, while the goalscorer showed sharp instincts on the counter. However, the visitors lacked the same level of control in the middle of the park and were ultimately punished for giving away possession too cheaply.

Table and Season Impact

The win lifts Shimshon Tel Aviv in the Israel B League standings and strengthens their momentum at home. Three goals will boost confidence, especially after Holon had briefly brought the game back to parity. For Holon Yermiyahu, the defeat is a setback, but the team's ability to create chances on the break offers something to build on in the coming fixtures.

With the Israel B League campaign unfolding, Shimshon Tel Aviv will view this as a statement result. Holon Yermiyahu, meanwhile, must tighten up defensively if they are to climb away from the lower reaches of the table.
