Ario Eslamshahr delivered a commanding home performance in the Iran Azadegan League on 20 October 2026, defeating Naft Bandar Abbas 3-0.

The match, which kicked off at 21:15 local time, was shaped by Ario’s intensity from the opening whistle. The hosts pressed high, moved the ball quickly through midfield, and were rewarded with a comfortable victory that underlined their strength on home turf.

Match overview

Ario Eslamshahr controlled the rhythm of the contest for long stretches, combining patient possession with direct attacks down the flanks. Naft Bandar Abbas struggled to settle into their usual shape and were forced into repeated defensive adjustments before the interval.

The three-goal margin reflected the balance of play. Ario created the clearer chances, defended set pieces well, and kept a clean sheet to turn a promising attacking display into a complete result.

Key moments

• 12th minute: Ario took the lead after a turnover in midfield. Amir Hossein Karimi received the ball on the edge of the area and placed a low finish beyond the goalkeeper.
• 38th minute: The hosts doubled their advantage from a corner. Mohammad Reza Ahmadi rose well at the near post and headed firmly into the net.
• 67th minute: Ario sealed the win with a fast counterattack. Sajjad Gholami broke clear and finished calmly to make it 3-0.
• Late stages: Naft Bandar Abbas pushed forward in search of a consolation goal, but Ario’s back line remained compact and protected the clean sheet.

Tactical story

Ario’s 4-2-3-1 setup worked effectively because the front four pressed together and cut off Naft’s passing lanes into midfield. When the visitors attempted to play long, Ario’s center-backs won the first contact and the midfield collected the second balls.

Naft Bandar Abbas tried to respond through wide attacks, but they lacked support in the box and were often isolated in transition. Once Ario scored the second goal before halftime, the home side could manage the game with greater control and pick their moments to attack.

Standout performers

Karimi was central to Ario’s best attacking moves, linking midfield and attack with sharp movement. Ahmadi’s defending and set-piece threat made him another key figure, while the goalkeeper handled Naft’s late crosses with assurance.

Season impact

The three points strengthen Ario Eslamshahr’s position in the Azadegan League table and give the team valuable momentum in front of their supporters. For Naft Bandar Abbas, the defeat is a reminder that away form must improve if the club is to remain competitive in a demanding promotion race. Ario will look to carry this attacking template into their next fixture, while Naft must regroup quickly and tighten their defensive structure.
