Mannheim Cruise Past Triglav

Waldhof Mannheim delivered an impressive 4-1 victory over Slovenian side Triglav Gorenjska in a pre‑season friendly. The German 3. Liga outfit showcased their attacking depth and fitness, putting the visitors under constant pressure from the first whistle.

Dominant First Half

Waldhof Mannheim started at high intensity and took the lead in the 8th minute. A flowing move down the left ended with a low cross tapped in from close range. They doubled their advantage in the 24th minute with a powerful shot from outside the box that flew into the top corner. Triglav Gorenjska pulled one back against the run of play just before half‑time, capitalising on a defensive lapse to make it 2-1 at the break.

Second Half – No Let‑Up

Mannheim restored their two‑goal cushion early in the second half. A corner was headed in powerfully in the 52nd minute to make it 3-1. The home side continued to press, and a fourth goal arrived in the 71st minute after a clinical counter‑attack. Triglav rarely threatened after that, with Mannheim’s midfield controlling the tempo comfortably.
