Mirassol put on a clinical display to thrash Uberlândia MG 4-0 in an international club friendly on September 28, 2026, at the Estádio Municipal Parque do Sabiá. The visitors from São Paulo were a class above their Minas Gerais opponents, scoring twice in each half to run out comfortable winners.

Match Overview

Uberlândia MG, playing in front of their home fans, started brightly but were quickly overwhelmed by Mirassol's superior technical quality and tactical organization. The visitors pressed high, moved the ball quickly, and carved open the Uberlândia defence at will. By the time the first half ended, Mirassol had already established a commanding lead.

The second half was more of the same, with Mirassol controlling possession and adding two more goals. Uberlândia never gave up, but they were simply outmatched in every department.

Key Moments

Mirassol took the lead in the 11th minute when Fernandinho finished off a sweeping team move with a low drive into the bottom corner. The second goal arrived in the 29th minute, Camilo doubling the advantage with a header from a pinpoint cross. Just before the hour mark, Lucas Ramon made it 3-0 with a curling effort from outside the box. Negueba completed the scoring in the 82nd minute, racing clear on the counter and slotting coolly past the goalkeeper.

Uberlândia's best chance came in the 65th minute when a free-kick struck the crossbar, but it was a rare moment of hope on a difficult evening.

Tactical Story

Mirassol lined up in a fluid 4-2-3-1 that allowed their attacking midfielders to drift into pockets of space. Uberlândia tried to press high but were repeatedly bypassed by quick one-touch passing. The visitors' full-backs pushed high, pinning Uberlândia back and creating overloads on the flanks. Defensively, Mirassol were compact and disciplined, denying Uberlândia any time on the ball.

Standout Players

Fernandinho was the architect of Mirassol's victory, scoring one and assisting another with a composed display. Camilo and Lucas Ramon also impressed, while Negueba's pace off the bench was a constant menace. For Uberlândia, goalkeeper Rafael made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, and midfielder Léo Costa showed glimpses of quality in the second half.

Season Impact

As a friendly, the result will not affect any league standings, but it serves as a strong statement of intent from Mirassol as they prepare for upcoming competitive fixtures. For Uberlândia MG, the heavy defeat highlights areas that need improvement before their next official match. Mirassol will take confidence from a dominant performance, while Uberlândia must regroup quickly.
