Jagiellonia Bialystok 5-0 Suduva: Polish Side Dominate International Club Friendly

Jagiellonia Bialystok produced a ruthless 5-0 victory over Suduva in an international club friendly at Stadion Miejski in Białystok. The Polish side were sharper in possession, more aggressive in the press, and far more clinical in front of goal, turning the match into a one-sided contest.

While friendlies are often judged on fitness and experimentation rather than results, this was still a statement performance from Jagiellonia, who controlled every phase of the game and gave their supporters plenty of attacking entertainment.

Match Overview

Jagiellonia began on the front foot and never really relinquished control. Their midfield pressed Suduva’s build-up, forcing turnovers in dangerous areas, and the front three combined with speed and precision. Suduva struggled to keep possession for extended periods and were often pinned back near their own penalty area.

The scoreline was already comfortable by halftime, and Jagiellonia used the second half to rotate players and test different combinations without losing their attacking edge.

Key Moments

• 8th minute – Jagiellonia 1-0: Jesús Imaz opened the scoring with a trademark low finish after a quick exchange on the edge of the box.
• 22nd minute – Jagiellonia 2-0: Afimico Pululu doubled the lead, powering past his marker and finishing confidently.
• 41st minute – Jagiellonia 3-0: Kristoffer Normann Hansen added a third before halftime, finishing a flowing team move.
• 58th minute – Jagiellonia 4-0: Imaz grabbed his second of the night, converting from close range after a corner was only partially cleared.
• 76th minute – Jagiellonia 5-0: A substitute rounded off the scoring late on, capping a dominant team display.

Tactical Story

Jagiellonia’s high press was the foundation of the win. Suduva were given little time on the ball, and every misplaced pass seemed to invite another wave of Polish attacks. The hosts also used the width of the pitch well, switching play quickly and creating overloads in wide areas.

Suduva defended deep for much of the match, but the constant pressure eventually told. Their best moments came on the counter, though clear chances were rare against a well-organized Jagiellonia back line.

Standout Performers

Jesús Imaz was the standout with two goals and intelligent link-up play. Afimico Pululu was a handful physically and added a goal, while Kristoffer Normann Hansen brought creativity and directness from wide areas. Jagiellonia’s midfield also deserves credit for controlling the tempo and winning the ball back so quickly.

For Suduva, the match served as a difficult but useful test against stronger opposition. The Lithuanian side will take lessons from the pressing they faced and the speed of Jagiellonia’s transitions.

What the Friendly Revealed

Jagiellonia showed that their squad depth and attacking chemistry are in good shape. The clean sheet will please the coaching staff as much as the five goals, and the performance offered useful minutes to both established starters and rotation players. Suduva, meanwhile, will focus on tightening their defensive shape and improving their composure under pressure.
