Mornar produced a ruthless attacking display to thrash FK Mladost DG 5-1 in an international club friendly on October 2, 2026. The Montenegrin side were in scintillating form from the first whistle, scoring three goals in a dominant first-half performance before adding two more after the break.

Match Overview

Mornar set the tone early, pressing high and moving the ball quickly. They took the lead in the 8th minute through a clinical finish from their striker, and doubled the advantage in the 22nd minute with a powerful header from a corner. A third goal arrived in the 35th minute when a mazy run from midfield ended with a low shot into the bottom corner. Tactical Analysis

Mornar lined up in an attacking 4-2-3-1 and overwhelmed Mladost with their high press and quick vertical passing. The midfield trio constantly won the ball back in advanced areas, allowing the front four to attack a disorganised defence. Mladost attempted to play out from the back but were repeatedly caught in possession. Their 4-4-2 shape lacked compactness, and the gaps between defence and midfield were ruthlessly exploited. Mornar's movement off the ball was exceptional, with players constantly rotating and creating overloads.

Standout Performers

Mornar's striker was the undisputed man of the match, scoring a first-half hat-trick and leading the line with intelligence and aggression. The attacking midfielder was equally impressive, providing two assists and dictating the tempo. For Mladost, their goalkeeper prevented an even heavier defeat with several saves, and their young substitute showed some positive touches late on.

What It Means

Mornar will take huge confidence from such a comprehensive victory as they prepare for upcoming competitive fixtures. The result highlights their attacking potential and the effectiveness of their high-pressing system. For Mladost DG, it was a sobering experience that exposes defensive frailties and the need for greater organisation and resilience when facing high-intensity opposition.
