FC SILON Táborsko 2-1 FC Sellier & Bellot Vlašim: Hosts Edge Friendly Thriller

FC SILON Táborsko defeated FC Sellier & Bellot Vlašim 2-1 in an international club friendly on Friday, October 2, 2026. The match, played under the lights with a 21:00 kick-off, gave both sides a useful opportunity to test their systems and squad depth in a competitive but non-league setting.

Táborsko made home advantage count, scoring twice and then holding off a late Vlašim surge. The friendly produced an entertaining contest, with both teams showing attacking intent and a willingness to press from the front.

Match Overview

FC SILON Táborsko began the brighter of the two sides, moving the ball quickly and using the width of the pitch to stretch Vlašim’s defence. The hosts looked comfortable in possession and created the first clear chances of the game. Vlašim grew into the match after the first twenty minutes but struggled to find a consistent rhythm in the final third.

The friendly format allowed both coaches to make several changes, and the tempo dropped slightly in the second half. Still, there was plenty of competitive edge, and Vlašim’s late goal ensured a tense finish.

Key Moments

• 22nd minute: Táborsko took the lead with a composed finish after a flowing move down the left. The winger cut inside and played a clever pass into the box, where the striker made no mistake.
• 48th minute: The hosts doubled their advantage early in the second half. A high press forced a turnover, and the ball was quickly worked into the penalty area before being slotted home.
• 70th minute: Vlašim pulled one back with a well-taken set piece. A whipped delivery caused confusion in the Táborsko defence, and the ball was turned in from close range.
• 85th minute: Vlašim pushed for an equaliser, but Táborsko’s goalkeeper made a sharp save to preserve the win.

Tactical Story

Táborsko’s success came from their pressing and quick ball circulation. They won possession high up the pitch several times and looked dangerous whenever they attacked the space behind Vlašim’s full-backs. Their two goals both originated from turnovers, underlining the effectiveness of their aggressive approach.

Vlašim improved after the break and caused problems with crosses into the box. However, they were often too slow to move the ball in the first half, allowing Táborsko to set their defensive block. The friendly gave both managers a chance to experiment with formations, and Vlašim’s late goal was a reward for their persistence.

Standout Performers

For FC SILON Táborsko, the left winger was the most creative player on the pitch, setting up the opener and causing constant problems with his dribbling. The central striker took his goal well, while the midfield presser who won the ball for the second goal was also influential.

FC Sellier & Bellot Vlašim’s goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score down, and their set-piece taker delivered dangerous balls throughout. The substitute who scored the late goal added energy and gave the visitors hope.

What It Means

Although this was an international club friendly rather than a league fixture, the 2-1 win gives Táborsko a confidence boost and useful match sharpness. The result will please the coaching staff, especially the way the team created chances from pressing situations.

For Vlašim, the match provided important minutes for squad players and a chance to work on set-piece routines. The head-to-head result favours Táborsko, but friendlies are ultimately about preparation. Both clubs will now turn their attention to their next competitive fixtures, carrying lessons from an entertaining night of football.
