Loughgall FC announced their early-season intentions with a comprehensive 4–1 victory away to Ballyclare Comrades in a pre-season friendly at Dixon Park. The NIFL Premiership side showed their class against a team from the NIFL Championship.

Dominant Display

Loughgall started brightly and took the lead inside ten minutes when a swift counter-attack ended with a low drive into the bottom corner. They doubled their advantage soon after, capitalising on a defensive error. Ballyclare pulled one back before half-time through a well-taken penalty, giving the home fans hope.

Second-Half Surge

The visitors regained control after the break. Two more goals – a header from a corner and a solo run finished with composure – sealed a comfortable evening. Ballyclare tired in the latter stages, unable to cope with Loughgall’s fitness and movement.
