Langsning SC and Nongkseh SCC Play Out 1-1 Draw in Shillong Premier League

Langsning SC and Nongkseh SCC shared the points in a hard-fought 1-1 draw in the Indian Shillong Premier League on 10 October 2026. The match, played under floodlights in Shillong, saw both teams create enough chances to win, but a combination of goalkeeping, defensive blocks and wasteful finishing ensured the scoreline remained level at the final whistle.

For Langsning, it was a case of two dropped points at home. For Nongkseh, the away draw represented a solid result and another sign of their growing competitiveness in the league standings. The result adds another tight chapter to a Shillong Premier League season that is shaping up to be defined by fine margins.

Match Overview

Langsning started with intent, pressing high and looking to use the width of the pitch. Their midfield trio controlled the early tempo, and the opening goal arrived in the 23rd minute when Batskhem Mylliempdah latched onto a through ball and finished calmly past the Nongkseh goalkeeper. The home crowd expected that goal to open the floodgates, but Nongkseh responded with composure rather than panic.

Nongkseh's equaliser came in the 67th minute. After a spell of sustained pressure, substitute Donlad Diengdoh found space at the edge of the box and curled a low shot into the bottom corner. It was a goal that reflected Nongkseh's persistence and their willingness to commit bodies forward in the second half.

Key Moments

• 23rd minute: Langsning take the lead through Batskhem Mylliempdah after a quick transition.
• 41st minute: Nongkseh force a fine save from the Langsning goalkeeper with a header from a corner.
• 67th minute: Donlad Diengdoh equalises for Nongkseh with a precise finish from the edge of the area.
• 89th minute: Langsning nearly win it, but a last-ditch block denies them a late winner.

Tactical Story

Langsning set up in a 4-2-3-1 and tried to dominate possession, while Nongkseh lined up in a compact 4-4-2 that looked to spring forward on the counter. The home side's full-backs pushed high, which created chances but also left space behind. Nongkseh gradually grew into the game by targeting those areas, and their second-half adjustment to press the Langsning midfield higher changed the momentum.

Both managers made attacking substitutions in the final 20 minutes, turning the match into an end-to-end contest. In the end, neither defence cracked again.

Standout Players

Batskhem Mylliempdah was Langsning's sharpest attacker and took his goal well. For Nongkseh, goalkeeper Riboklang Lyngdoh made several important saves, while Donlad Diengdoh's impact from the bench was decisive. The two central midfielders for Nongkseh also deserve credit for disrupting Langsning's rhythm after the break.

What the Draw Means

Langsning remain in the middle of the Shillong Premier League table, close enough to the top group but frustrated by a run of draws. Nongkseh move forward with confidence, having shown they can compete away from home against established opposition. In a league where every point matters, this 1-1 result could look more significant at the end of the season than it does now.
