Chanmari FC delivered a commanding away performance to defeat Ramthar Veng FC 3-0 in the Indian Mizoram Premier League on 26 October 2026, climbing the standings with a victory built on clinical finishing and disciplined pressing.

The match, played under the lights at Ramthar Veng’s home ground, was decided by three well-taken goals and a Chanmari side that controlled the key moments. Ramthar Veng struggled to contain their opponents’ quick transitions and were left to rue a series of missed opportunities in the first half.

Match overview

Chanmari FC started with intent, pressing high and forcing Ramthar Veng into hurried clearances. The visitors’ midfield trio set the tone, winning second balls and recycling possession quickly. Ramthar Veng looked dangerous on the break in the early stages but lacked the composure needed in the final third.

The opening goal arrived in the 18th minute when Chanmari’s centre-forward rose well to meet a corner and headed firmly into the bottom corner. The goal settled the visitors, who continued to dictate the tempo and deny Ramthar Veng any sustained spells of possession.

Key moments

Ramthar Veng’s best chance of the first half came shortly before the half-hour mark, but their striker dragged a shot wide after being played through on goal. That miss proved costly, as Chanmari doubled their lead in the 54th minute with a swift counter-attack. A quick break down the right ended with a low cross that was converted at the back post.

The third goal arrived in the 76th minute, effectively ending any hopes of a comeback. Chanmari’s attacking midfielder drove into the box and slipped a pass to the forward, who finished calmly under the goalkeeper. Ramthar Veng pushed forward late on, but Chanmari’s back line held firm to secure a clean sheet.

Tactical story

Chanmari FC’s 4-2-3-1 shape allowed them to press aggressively while keeping a solid defensive base. Their two holding midfielders shielded the back four effectively, and the front four rotated constantly to create confusion among Ramthar Veng’s defenders. The visitors also excelled at set pieces, with the opening goal underlining their aerial threat.

Ramthar Veng FC, by contrast, struggled to build from the back. Their midfield was often bypassed by Chanmari’s direct running, and their wide players were forced deep to help defensively. When they did get forward, the final pass too often went astray or arrived a fraction too late.

Standout players

Chanmari’s centre-forward was the standout performer, leading the line with intelligence and scoring the opener before playing a key role in the third goal. The attacking midfielder also impressed with his close control and vision, while the centre-back partnership dealt comfortably with Ramthar Veng’s long balls.

For Ramthar Veng, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, and their right-back was one of the few players who consistently carried a threat going forward. However, the team’s attacking players lacked the sharpness needed to punish Chanmari’s occasional lapses.

League impact

The 3-0 win strengthens Chanmari FC’s position in the Mizoram Premier League standings and sends a clear message about their ambitions this season. Three points on the road, coupled with a clean sheet, will boost confidence ahead of a demanding run of fixtures.

For Ramthar Veng FC, the defeat leaves them with work to do as they look to climb away from the lower reaches of the table. The result highlights the need for greater composure in front of goal and more resilience when defending set pieces. With the season still unfolding, both sides will know that consistency will be the key to their respective aims.
