Iron Born FC U19 delivered a ruthless statement in the Indian Manipur State League on 13 October 2026, dismantling Kenkre U19 6-0 in a one-sided contest that showcased their attacking depth and defensive discipline. The away side controlled the match from the opening whistle, scoring early and never allowing their opponents a foothold, with the result moving them into a commanding position in the youth standings.

Match Overview

Played at a lively venue in Manipur, the fixture pitted two U19 sides with contrasting ambitions. Kenkre U19, known for their developmental approach, struggled to cope with Iron Born FC U19’s high pressing and quick transitions. The visitors opened the scoring inside the first ten minutes and doubled their lead before the half-hour mark, effectively killing the contest as a competitive spectacle. By halftime, Iron Born FC U19 led 3-0, and the second half followed a similar pattern, with three more goals arriving as the game wore on.

The scoreline of 0-6 reflects a complete performance: Iron Born FC U19 were sharper in the tackle, more precise in the final third, and far more ruthless in front of goal. Kenkre U19, to their credit, kept trying to play out from the back, but they were repeatedly punished by a well-drilled opposition midfield that refused to let them settle.

Key Moments

• 8th minute: Iron Born FC U19 broke the deadlock with a low drive from the edge of the box after a swift counter-attack down the right flank.
• 22nd minute: A second goal arrived from a set-piece, with a towering header from the centre-back giving Kenkre’s goalkeeper no chance.
• 41st minute: The visitors made it 3-0 just before the break, capitalising on a loose pass and finishing clinically on the break.
• 57th minute: Iron Born FC U19 added a fourth with a composed finish following a slick one-two on the edge of the area.
• 73rd minute: A fifth goal came from a direct run through the middle, ending with a powerful shot into the roof of the net.
• 88th minute: The rout was completed in the closing stages, as a substitute tapped in from close range after another incisive move.

Tactical Story

Iron Born FC U19 set up in a flexible 4-3-3 that became a 4-2-3-1 without the ball, suffocating Kenkre U19’s central passing lanes. Their midfield trio pressed aggressively, forcing turnovers high up the pitch and launching rapid attacks. The full-backs pushed high, stretching the opposition defence and creating overloads in wide areas. Kenkre U19 attempted to build through the thirds but were repeatedly undone by a lack of support in midfield and wayward final passes.

Defensively, Iron Born FC U19 were equally impressive. Their back line held a high line, catching Kenkre’s forwards offside on multiple occasions, and the goalkeeper was rarely called into action. The clean sheet was just as valuable as the six goals, underlining the team’s balance and concentration over the full 90 minutes.

Standout Players

While the goals were shared across the front line, the driving force behind the victory was Iron Born FC U19’s captain in central midfield, who dictated the tempo and provided two assists. The centre-forward also caught the eye with a brace, constantly dragging defenders out of position and creating space for runners. At the back, the centre-back pairing were dominant in the air and composed on the ball, starting attacks with accurate long passes.

For Kenkre U19, it was a difficult afternoon, but their young goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, and their left-winger showed flashes of creativity with a few driving runs. The experience will be a learning curve for a squad that is still finding its rhythm in the competition.

What It Means for the Table

This 6-0 result is a significant boost to Iron Born FC U19’s goal difference and strengthens their push for a high finish in the Indian Manipur State League youth table. The three points keep them firmly in the title conversation and send a warning to their rivals about their scoring power. For Kenkre U19, the defeat leaves them searching for consistency, and they will need to regroup quickly to avoid slipping further down the standings.

The head-to-head record between these two sides now makes for uncomfortable reading for Kenkre, while Iron Born FC U19 will take enormous confidence from a performance that combined clinical finishing with defensive solidity. If they maintain this level, they will be a tough proposition for any team in the league.
