The match was closely contested, but BNR FC’s organisation and clinical edge in the decisive moment proved the difference. Victoria SC pushed hard for an equaliser after the break, yet they could not find a way past a determined BNR FC defence.

Tactical Story

BNR FC set up to be difficult to break down, conceding possession at times but protecting the central areas. Their midfield worked tirelessly to screen the defence, and when Victoria SC moved the ball wide, BNR FC’s full-backs stayed disciplined. That structure forced Victoria SC into hopeful crosses rather than clear chances.

Victoria SC’s manager made attacking substitutions in the second half and switched to a more direct style. The changes improved the tempo, but BNR FC’s back line remained composed. The away side’s game management in the final ten minutes was particularly impressive, as they slowed the match and limited Victoria SC’s momentum.
