Match Overview

Bangalore City began the afternoon with real purpose. The home side pressed high, moved the ball quickly through midfield, and looked to stretch Parikrma FC down the flanks. That early momentum produced the opening goal in the 18th minute, and for much of the first half, Bangalore City looked the more likely side to add a second.

Parikrma FC, however, grew into the game. Their compact 4-4-2 shape limited central spaces, and they began to threaten on the counterattack. A sharp save from the Bangalore City goalkeeper in the 33rd minute kept the hosts ahead at the interval, but the warning signs were clear. Parikrma were not going away quietly.

The second half shifted the mood of the match. Parikrma pushed their midfield higher, won more second balls, and found an equaliser in the 55th minute through captain Sanjay Kumar. For a spell after that goal, the visitors looked the stronger team, and Bangalore City had to weather pressure from set pieces and quick transitions.

The decisive moment arrived late. After a tactical adjustment and fresh legs from the bench, Bangalore City regained control of the tempo. In the 79th minute, Nikhil Menon produced the winning goal, finishing calmly after a well-worked move. Parikrma had one final chance deep in stoppage time, but a last-ditch clearance preserved all three points for the home side.

Tactical Story

Bangalore City set up with a flexible attacking shape, looking to dominate possession and create overloads in wide areas. Their full-backs pushed forward regularly, and the midfield trio worked hard to recycle the ball. The approach paid off early, but it also left space behind for Parikrma to exploit on the break.

Parikrma FC’s game plan was built on discipline and quick counterattacks. They defended in two compact lines, invited pressure, and tried to release their forwards into the channels. That strategy worked well for long spells in the second half, especially after Sanjay Kumar’s equaliser. In the end, however, Bangalore City’s bench impact and late composure made the difference.

The winning goal reflected Bangalore City’s persistence. They kept circulating the ball, waited for Parikrma to tire, and then found the decisive pass in the final third. It was not a flawless performance, but it was an effective one built on patience and a strong response after conceding.
