How the Game Unfolded

Dewa United came out with real intensity, pressing Persija's defenders and forcing turnovers in dangerous areas. The opening goal arrived after a sustained spell of pressure, finished confidently inside the box. A second followed as the hosts continued to attack down the flanks, and a third arrived before the interval, with Persija's back line struggling to cope with the speed of the home side's transitions.

The second half told a different story. Persija adjusted their shape, pushed more players forward, and were rewarded with a goal that gave them a foothold in the contest. They created further half-chances but could not close the deficit, and Dewa United managed the final stages with maturity, protecting their lead by keeping possession and slowing the game down.

Tactical Story

Dewa United's success came from quick ball recovery and vertical passing. When they won possession, they looked to move the ball forward immediately rather than recycling it, catching Persija out of shape. Their wide players were particularly effective, stretching the defence and creating crossing opportunities.

Persija's revival after the break was built on greater compactness in midfield and more aggressive pressing of their own. Once they pushed higher, they forced Dewa United into longer clearances, but converting that territorial advantage into goals proved difficult against a well-organised defence.

Standout Performers

• Dewa United attacking trio: Combined quickly and effectively, creating the space that produced all three goals.
• Dewa United midfield: Excellent in transition, winning second balls and launching attacks with purpose.
• Persija Jakarta substitutes: Injected energy and helped the visitors claim a goal and a much better second-half display.

Season Impact

The win strengthens Dewa United FC U20's position in the Indonesian U20 Super League and reinforces their credentials as one of the more dangerous attacking sides in the competition. Persija Jakarta U20 will take positives from their second-half response, but the slow start cost them dearly. In a youth league where momentum and confidence matter enormously, both sides will learn plenty from this fixture.
