Tactical Story

Persita Tangerang set up in a 4-2-3-1, looking to control midfield and attack through the flanks. Their full-backs pushed high, creating overloads that Garudayaksa FC struggled to contain. Garudayaksa, meanwhile, used a 4-3-3 and tried to press aggressively, but they left gaps between defence and midfield that Persita exploited. After going two goals down, Garudayaksa switched to a more direct approach, and that change brought them back into the game. In the end, Persita's game management in the final 10 minutes proved decisive.

Standout Players

Persita Tangerang's attacking midfielder was the man of the match, scoring the opener and assisting the second. His link-up play was a constant threat. The Persita goalkeeper also deserves credit for two crucial saves in the first half. For Garudayaksa FC, their substitute winger made an impact after coming on, winning several duels and providing the assist for the consolation goal. Their captain drove the team forward until the final whistle.

League Impact

The three points lift Persita Tangerang into a stronger position in the Liga 1 table, boosting their confidence ahead of a demanding run of fixtures. Garudayaksa FC remain in search of consistency and will need to tighten up defensively if they are to climb the standings. For Persita, this was a professional home display that combined attacking flair with defensive resilience — exactly the formula needed for a successful season in Indonesia's top flight.

Next, Persita Tangerang travel to a direct rival, while Garudayaksa FC return home looking to bounce back. Both teams will know that every point matters in the race for the championship play-offs and survival.
