Persela Lamongan 6-0 PSBS Biak Numfor: Hosts Run Riot in Liga 2 Masterclass

Persela Lamongan produced a devastating attacking performance to thrash PSBS Biak Numfor 6-0 in the Indonesian Liga 2 on Sunday, 27 September 2026, in a match that will be remembered by the home supporters for a long time.

Kicking off at 16:30 at the Surajaya Stadium, Persela were relentless from the first whistle, scoring early and never allowing their opponents to settle. The six-goal margin underlined the gulf in quality on the day and handed the hosts a significant boost in both morale and goal difference.

Match Overview

Persela took the lead inside the opening ten minutes and effectively ended the contest as a spectacle before half-time. Their pressing was aggressive, their passing was crisp, and their finishing was ruthless. PSBS Biak Numfor, by contrast, struggled to cope with the intensity and found themselves chasing shadows for much of the afternoon.

By the interval, Persela had already established a commanding lead. The second half followed a similar pattern, with the hosts adding to their tally and managing the game comfortably. The clean sheet was the only minor concern for the visitors, who will want to forget this afternoon quickly.

• 8' – Goal: Persela open the scoring with a close-range finish after a fast start.
• 21' – Goal: A second arrives from a well-worked corner routine.
• 35' – Goal: Persela's striker completes a quick counter with a calm finish.
• 44' – Goal: A fourth goal before half-time leaves PSBS Biak Numfor reeling.

• 90+2' – Full time: Persela seal a comprehensive 6-0 victory.

Tactical Story

Persela's success was built on their high press and quick ball circulation. They won possession in dangerous areas repeatedly, and their front three interchanged positions intelligently, making it impossible for the PSBS defence to mark them man-for-man. The full-backs pushed high, creating overloads on the flanks, and the midfielders consistently arrived late in the box to add to the attacking threat.

PSBS Biak Numfor attempted to play out from the back, but the pressure proved too much. Their midfield was overrun, and the defence was often left exposed. The visitors did create a couple of half-chances on the break, but they were unable to trouble the Persela goalkeeper with any consistency.

Standout Players

Persela's centre-forward was the obvious star of the show, scoring a hat-trick and linking play superbly throughout. The attacking midfielder also impressed with two assists and a goal of his own. In defence, the centre-back partnership was rarely troubled but remained focused to keep a clean sheet. For PSBS Biak Numfor, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, and their captain never stopped running despite the scoreline.

Season Impact

This result sends a clear message to the rest of the Indonesian Liga 2. Persela Lamongan are a force to be reckoned with, especially at home, and their goal difference has received a significant boost. For PSBS Biak Numfor, it is a harsh lesson, but one that can be used as motivation to improve in the coming weeks. The league table will make pleasant reading for Persela fans tonight, while the visitors will be eager to move on quickly.
