Kendal Tornado FC and Deltras Sidoarjo shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw in Indonesian Liga 2 on 24 October 2026, with a late equaliser rescuing a point for the hosts. Deltras twice took the lead, but Kendal Tornado FC responded on each occasion to keep their unbeaten home record intact.

Match Overview

The match was a physical, high-tempo affair from the opening minutes. Deltras Sidoarjo looked sharp on the counter and took the lead early, but Kendal Tornado FC gradually settled and found their rhythm through midfield. The hosts equalised before half-time and then pushed for a winner after the interval.

Deltras restored their advantage just after the hour mark, forcing Kendal to chase the game once more. The pressure eventually told, and a late goal earned the home side a deserved point in front of their supporters.

Key Moments

• 14’ – 0-1: Bagus Setiawan gave Deltras Sidoarjo the lead with a low drive from outside the box.
• 39’ – 1-1: Fajar Nugroho equalised for Kendal Tornado FC with a close-range finish.

• 88’ – 2-2: Dimas Anggara rescued a point for Kendal with a header from a corner.

Tactical Story

Kendal Tornado FC lined up in a 4-2-3-1 and tried to control possession, but they were often exposed by Deltras’ quick transitions. The hosts improved after adjusting their midfield shape, closing the space between the lines and forcing Deltras deeper.

Deltras Sidoarjo’s 4-3-3 was effective on the break, with their wide forwards stretching the pitch and their midfielders arriving late in the box. However, they struggled to defend set pieces, and that weakness proved costly in the closing stages.

Standout Performers

Dimas Anggara was the hero for Kendal Tornado FC, scoring the late equaliser and providing a physical presence in the box. Fajar Nugroho also impressed with his movement and link-up play. For Deltras Sidoarjo, Rizky Pratama was a constant threat on the counter and took his goal well.

Table and Season Impact

The draw adds a point to both clubs’ tallies in the Indonesian Liga 2 standings, though each will feel they could have taken more. Kendal Tornado FC showed resilience to fight back twice, while Deltras Sidoarjo will be frustrated at conceding late from a set piece. With the league table remaining congested, such moments could matter greatly by the end of the season.
