Tactical Story

FH Hafnarfjordur U19 lined up in a 4-3-3 and used their wingers to stretch Ymir's back line. Their midfield trio controlled the tempo, switching play from side to side and creating overloads in wide areas. The high press was particularly effective after half-time; Ymir's young defenders were forced into hurried clearances, and FH repeatedly won the ball back in dangerous positions.

HK Ymir U19 adopted a compact 5-3-2 out of possession, hoping to frustrate FH and hit on the break. It worked in the opening stages, and their early goal was a perfect example of their counter-attacking plan. However, as the match progressed, Ymir struggled to maintain their defensive shape. Fatigue and a few loose touches allowed FH to take command, and the visitors' movement in the final third proved too difficult to handle.

Standout Performers

FH's attacking midfielder was the game's most influential player, linking midfield and attack with sharp passes and intelligent runs. The right winger caused problems throughout, while the centre-forward held the ball up well and brought others into play. In defence, FH's captain organized the back line calmly after the early setback. For Ymir, the goalkeeper deserved credit for a series of saves, and their young striker worked tirelessly, scoring the opening goal and pressing from the front.
