Tactical Story

Győri Dózsa Women used a 4-3-3 system that allowed their wide forwards to stretch the Szekszárd defense. Their midfielder trio controlled the center of the pitch, winning second balls and ensuring the team maintained a high tempo. The full-backs overlapped frequently, creating numerical advantages in wide areas.

Szekszárd UFC Women set up in a 5-4-1 formation, hoping to absorb pressure and hit on the break. While they defended bravely in patches, they struggled to keep possession when they won the ball back. Győri Dózsa's pressing meant Szekszárd were often forced into long clearances, which the visitors easily recycled into new attacks.

Standout Players

Fanni Nagy was the outstanding performer, scoring twice and constantly troubling the Szekszárd back line with her movement. Laura Kovács added the third goal and linked play effectively, while Győri Dózsa's goalkeeper made a crucial save at 2-0. For Szekszárd UFC, the central defenders worked hard under pressure, but they received little respite from their midfield.

Season Impact

The victory keeps Győri Dózsa Women firmly in the Hungary Women's Division 1 League title conversation, with their goal difference and momentum continuing to build. Szekszárd UFC Women remain in a challenging position and will need to regroup quickly, especially if they are to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.
